[Confirmed] Classroom of The Elite will adapt entire first year

Edit: So they will adapt the entire first year, and here we were thinking maybe 12 episodes or 24 episodes. Never thought it would adapt the entire first year! Thoughts?

How many volumes do you think they'll adapt?

Season 1 adapted the first 3 Volumes, 2 Chapters from Volume 4.5, and loosely adapted Volume 4. It was boycotted in Japan, and I don't think the studio would want a repeat. So hopefully the studio would learn from the mistakes of Season 1.

Now the question becomes how many volumes will they adapt? They could adapt Volume 4, 4.5 and 5, making 12 episodes, since volume 5 ends on a pretty conclusive note. Also, they lowered the amount of students, so what will they do in the zodiac exam?

Volume 4.5 is more of SoL, so I don't think they will adapt it all too well. So perhaps a well-adaption of Volume 4 and 5 in 12 episodes?

Then there is also the possibility of adapting up to Volume 7, which ends on a really conclusive note, but then they'd need to adapt 4, 5, 6, and 7, which would be quite rushed if only 12 Episodes. Perhaps a 2 Cour, considering the novel is doing really well in Japan?
