<ul><li>'Read a manga' is used throughout the challenge and refers to all manga formats — Any media that is included on AniList’s Manga Browse page is allowed</li><ul><li>You can use manga with the format “Manga”, “Light Novel” and “One Shot”</li><li>You can use Manhua, Manhwa and Doujinshi</li></ul></ul>
<ul><li>The total number of chapters of all manga you use added together must be a minimum of 300 chapters</li><ul><li>You can easily check the total chapters of manga you have used with our chapters calculator!</li></ul></ul><ul><li>You cannot reread manga for this challenge</li></ul>
<ul><li>You cannot use manga you completed before entering this challenge</li><li>You cannot use the same manga to fulfil multiple requirements within this challenge</li><li>You can use any number of manga from other challenges as long as they allow sharing</li></ul>
<ul><li>You can use up to 3 currently releasing and / or previously started manga</li><ul><li>You must state how many chapters you have previously read</li><li>Only the chapters you read after entering the challenge count towards your total</li><li>You must read a minimum of 1 chapter after entering the challenge to use a currently releasing manga</li><li>If the manga you previously started is now fully released in English, you must finish reading it after entering the challenge to use it</li>
<li>If the manga is currently releasing, you must be caught up to the current English release at the time of your challenge submission</li><ul><li>You must provide a link to its MangaUpdates or NovelUpdates page (or an alternative as described below)</li><li>Details about being caught up with currently releasing manga:</li>
▪ For ongoing Manga, Manhua and Manhwa, you must have read the latest chapter with an English translation as listed on MangaUpdates
▪ For ongoing Light Novels, you must have read the latest volume or chapter with an English translation as listed on NovelUpdates or MangaUpdates, whichever has the most recent data
▪ Make a note in your challenge post if you are reading an official English release — These may not be as current as fan translations, but can be used as long as you have read the latest chapter with an official English translation
▪ If you read more chapters or volumes than are listed on MangaUpdates or NovelUpdates (or neither site has any release), then you must provide an additional source to show these they have been officially released in any language, such as a wiki page, a publication database or the official website for the publication (Do not link to any source that contains illicit copyrighted content, such as scanlation sites — these do not count as official)
▪ Please Note: If data for chapters or volumes that released in English before you made your challenge submission are added to MangaUpdates or NovelUpdates before your submission is reviewed, you must complete them before your submission can be passed — This does not apply to any chapters or volumes that are released on or after your submission date</ul></ul> <ul></li><li>You must state the most recent chapter you finished for each currently releasing Manga, Manhua or Manhwa</li><li>You must state the most recent volume and / or chapter you finished for each currently releasing Light Novel — If you use volumes, please provide a link to a wiki, database or official source that shows how many chapters are in each volume</li></ul></ul>
<ul><li>There is no time limit to complete this challenge</li></ul><ul><li>Your reading activity must be visible on your profile — This includes all chapter progress and an activity showing each manga as completed (or up-to-date if it is currently releasing)</li></ul><ul><li>Your activity must include the start and end dates, which can be added in the AniList List Editor</li></ul><ul><li>Your profile must be set to public so we can verify your manga list and activity</li></ul>

<ol>3) Gothic Façade: Read a manga that features a castle, mansion or manor house<ul><li>Provide a screenshot of the page that shows the building</li></ul></ol>
<ol>4) Grotesque: Read a manga with the genres “Horror” and “Comedy”</ol>

<ul><li>All dates must use the YYYY-MM-DD format</li><ul><li>These dates must match the dates in your list editor and your profile activities</li></ul></ul>
<ul><li>All requirement numbers must use a 01) format</li></ul>
<ul><li>You may use either title links or preview cards for requirements</li><ul><li>These should always be placed alone on the next line after the requirement text</li><li>Title links are provided by default in the code and can be included using the format: [Manga_Title](manga_link)</li><li>Preview cards will be automatically generated by simply including a link to the anime or manga: manga_link</li><li>When using preview cards, you must state if you’ve used an English, Romaji or Native title for any requirements that ask for specific attributes of an anime or manga title</li><li>You must use title links for hentai and adult manga, even if the rest of your challenge uses preview cards</li></ul></ul>
