<ul><li>Hard Mode: The total runtime of all anime you watch added together must be a minimum of 1500 minutes
<ul><li>You can calculate the total duration of completed anime by multiplying the episode duration by the number of episodes
<li>Add together the total duration of each anime to find the runtime of your challenge
<li>You can easily check the total runtime of anime you have used with our runtime calculator!</ul></ul>
<ul><li>You can watch each anime at any time during August, but you must submit your completed challenge before the deadline
<ul><li>AWC operates on UTC time, regardless of your time zone. The monthly challenge always starts on the 1st at 00:00:01 UTC and ends on the last day of the month at 23:59:59 UTC — the anime you use for this challenge must be watched within this time limit</ul></ul>
<ul><li>The anime you watch must be correctly logged on AniList to count
<ul><li>To log watched episodes, set an anime to watching and increment the episodes via the Anime In Progress panel on the AniList home page
<li>An activity showing the episodes as watched will appear in your feed. For movies and anime with only 1 episode, the activity will show the anime as completed</ul></ul>
<ul><li>You must add the correct start and end dates to the AniList List Editor for each anime
<ul><li>These dates must match the dates listed in your challenge entry and your profile activities</ul></ul>
<ul><li>You may rewatch one anime for this challenge
<ul><li>You must state if you rewatched an anime in your challenge post</ul></ul>
<ul><li>The anime you rewatch must be correctly logged on AniList to count
<ul><li>To log a rewatch, set an anime to rewatching and increment the episodes via the Anime In Progress panel on the AniList home page
<li>An activity showing the anime as rewatched will appear in your feed
<li>You can choose to keep your original dates in your List Editor or update them to reflect your rewatch</ul></ul>
<ul><li>You may use longer shows to fulfil multiple requirements within this challenge
<ul><li>Anime with 20 episodes or more may be used to fulfil up to 2 requirements
<li>Anime with 30 episodes or more may be used to fulfil up to 3 requirements
<ul><li>You can fulfil a maximum of 3 requirements per anime
<li>There is no limit to the number of anime that can be used to fulfil multiple requirements
<li>You can use a rewatched anime to fulfil multiple requirements
<li>You must state the anime for each requirement you use it for</ul></ul></ul>
<ul><li>You cannot use an anime you started watching or rewatching before August</ul>
<ul><li>You cannot use anime with the format “Music”</ul>
<ul><li>You cannot use speed watching to complete this challenge
<ul><li>This includes playing anime faster than the intended speed, skipping episodes or skipping scenes other than the opening or ending credits
<li>Speed watching and skipping goes against the spirit of AWC challenges</ul></ul>
<ul><li>Your watching activity must be visible on your profile — This includes all episode progress and an activity showing each anime as completed</ul>
<ul><li>Your profile must be set to public so we can verify your anime list and activity</ul>

<ol>1) Watch an anime with the format “TV” that has any of the tags from the “Theme / Other-Vehicle” category or the tag “Travel”
<ul><li>Required for Easy Mode - You MUST complete this requirement and 4 others<li>Tag categories can be viewed in the Advanced Genre & Tag Filter which can be accessed from the right side menu on AniList’s Browse page</ul></ol>
<ol>2) Get your Kicks: Watch an anime that has the number “66” in its AniList ID</ol>
<ol>3) Refuel: Watch an anime with a higher episode count than the anime used for the previous and the next requirement</ol>
<ol>4) Watch an anime that began airing in a year where the last two digits are the number of a US Primary Interstate Highway
<ul><li>_List of primary Interstate Highways_
<li>For single digit highways add a 0 prior to the number of the highway. For example, Interstate-8 would be 08 and Interstate-5 would be 05.</ul></ol>
<ol>5) Detour: Watch an anime with a “Side Story” relation</ol>
<ol>6) Watch an anime from the “WcDonalds” community list

<ol>7) Backseat Driver: Watch an anime with a Staff member credited for any role that includes “Assistant”
<ul><li>“Assistance”, “Assisting” or other similar words do NOT count<li>State the staff member</ul></ol>
<ol>8) Car Games: Watch an anime with the tag “Cars” or with the source “Game” or “Video Game”</ol>
<ol>9) Passing through the City: Watch an anime that features any Manga City location

<ul><li>If you’re only doing Easy Mode, the requirements you choose must be listed in numerical order</ul></ul>
<ul><li>You may use either title links or preview cards for requirements
<ul><li>These should always be placed alone on the next line after the requirement text
<li>Title links are provided by default in the code and can be included using the format: [Anime_Title](anime_link)
<li>Preview cards will be automatically generated by simply including a link to the anime or manga: anime_link
<li>When using preview cards, you must state if you’ve used an English, Romaji or Native title for any requirements that ask for specific attributes of an anime or manga title

<ul><li>When additional information is required, you must use // to separate the information as shown in the challenge code
<ul><li>You should not add any extra new lines or include any more than the required information
<li>Do not place any information inside a spoiler tag: if an image or screenshot is requested, you must include it as a link</ul></ul>
<ul><li>You can change the status indicators to any symbols or emojis of your choice
<ul><li>The status indicator must be located between the requirement number and requirement text
<li>You must use different symbols or emojis for each status, if they are too similar then your submission may be delayed or rejected
<li>The status indicators must be noted in the legend located in the header of your post
<li>You may add additional statuses to the legend, such as “Watching” or “Rewatched”</ul></ul>
<ul><li>You can change the size of text, center it, make it bold, italicized, or strikethrough it

<ul><li>Submitting a Completed Challenge <br>When you have fulfilled all of the requirements for a challenge, make sure your challenge post has been completely updated and then fill out the **AWC Challenge Submission Form**</ul>
<ul><li>You should include your username, the name of the challenge and the mode you have completed, as well as a link to your challenge post, which you can get by clicking on the link icon on your entry comment</ul>
<ul><li>Once you click submit, your challenge will be added to the queue. You can read more about the challenge review process and how to check the status of your submission in the Challenge Submission Guide</ul>
<ul><li>An AWC Staff member will check your challenge to ensure that you have followed the rules and requirements correctly. If you have completed the challenge successfully, you will receive a profile message from them, including any rewards. If not, you will receive a profile message with the details of any changes that you need to make. If you have restricted who can send profile messages to you, then you will be contacted via the Challenge Submission Guide instead</ul>
<ul><li>Only submissions via the AWC Challenge Submission Form will be accepted. This means submissions via the Submission Guide, Discord, or other unofficial documents will not be reviewed</ul>
<ul><li>Completed challenges must be submitted by August 31st 2026, 23:59:59 UTC</ul>
