It was decent, nothing mind blowing but was fun. Kinda just wanted to watch this since I'm used to most Shonen works and SIM did the opening for this and I already like the opening. Overall decent nothing to crazy.

Felt very similar to Bleach ep 1. Same intro scene fighting some thugs and Jiro even kinda sounds like Ichigo. MC has ninja training + a Pochita variant. Hoping to see how it differentiates itself from other Shonen anime. Seems like it'll be enjoyable.

Seems like your usual action shounen but i am more so interested to know what they will do with the adaptation since this was an early axed manga. Maybe something anime original down the line?

I don't know, the manga material is sufficient to cover one cour, so they might just go for a complete adaptation and call it a day. Hope not tbh because I think the IP has a lot of potential that was left untapped.

I kinda dislike these "kidnap then recruit" trope. It would have been much more satisfactory if he would have beaten those agents too for being cocky. Now they're just going to put a leash on him.

Same, it just gets repetitive. Therefore, it is easy to introduce new characters.

Kinda reminds me of the beginning of Bleach a bit.

I don't know it felt kinda boring to me, I don't think this was a good start, the first episode is supposed to hook you on the series.

Well I'm going to give it more 2 episodes, if it keeps this level Imma drop it.

would have been cooler if the mc could just communicate with mononoke and form partnerships with them, becoming a liaison instead of merging with one and becoming a jujutsu kaisen punch machine. but i shouldn't expect much from a battle shounen.

Yeah, it's crazy with all the build up and the fight is ended by punching. Not the best start

I really enjoyed this first episode; it’s true that it reminds me a bit of Bleach. But the protagonist seems cool. That bit where he can talk to anime characters was funny. The opening theme is a banger! I can’t wait to find out more about the special forces and their roles, as well as learn more about this world. I wasn’t bored at all.
