Man, watching this after this Re:Zero episode, I'm messed up, those last 5 minutes were an insane to end the season on... Poor Natsuki...
Overall, a 9/10 for me, the insanity has been amped up a lot, some of the mysteries from S1 resolved (and of course, more were added), and some animation improvement, it was truly a blast. Can't wait for S3.

  Insane one-two punch this week, from both anime. Wednesdays were definitely the high point of the week, very excited to see what S3 holds (and how re:zero will keep going until then!)
  Won't be able to help myself but to read the source material for both I think.

Thank god they announced S3 immediately. Chaotic season as expected, and it absolutely blows its predecessor out of the water. It slaps.
Again, I will never forgive Hayashida Q for what she did to Ebisu and Natsuki. They deserved none of that bullshit man.............. GOD DAMN IT HAYASHIDA. RIP Natsukiiiii :(

Absolutely fuck off, that is such a brutal but smart way to end the season with that death. This whole season was fantastic. It felt so good to have the anime back after 6 years. 6 LONG YEARS. SO WORTH IT. I CAN'T WAIT FOR SEASON 3.

  Could not agree more. Dorohedoro is genuinely one of those shows people will look back at in 10 years and ask how the hell it never blew up lmao. What it puts on display every damn week, the chaos, the worldbuilding, all of it, is just unmatched by anything I've seen this year so far

I feel like we got quite a bit of answers this episode, especially concerning Caiman/Aikawa/Cross-Eyes Boss, but there is a lot still to resolve. Turns out he remembers Nikaido (he also mentioned working for Tanba which he shouldn't if he really forgot everything what happened when he was Caiman), he is just afraid he will kill her to obtain her magic.
Thank god they announced S3 right away, I wouldn't be able to handle another 6 year wait. I rewatched S1 before starting this and the difference in quality is insane, especially the character movement and their expressions. You can obviously tell it's CGI but it's done in such a way it becomes it's own style rather than trying to replicate 2D.
RIP Natsuki, but also there always is a way to bring anyone back so maybe maybe???

Im so happy that s3 was announced pretty much as soon as the final episode was dropped, even though we have no confirmation on when production will start nor the season it will come out im sure it wont be another 6 years now that aot is finished.

Natsuki and Ebisu are a clear example that the author only creates good characters to torture them mercilessly. There is hope that she will revive it again. See you in the third season.

Honestly, I was dreading that scene with Natsuki coming up because I remember being so creeped out & sad when it happened in the manga. I just had no idea that would be the last scene of the season.

What I've noticed is that the story has shown us and foreshadowed tons of ways to resurrect anyone. So that takes quite a bit of edge off of this cliffhanger. Seemingly Caiman/Aikawa/Cross-Eyes Boss himself absolutely can't be killed. Also, the magics between Noi, Kikurage, and Nikaido will I'm sure prove that no one else of note will stay dead either. I'm not saying this is a great problem, it's minor, but It does take all the teeth out of these gruesome take-downs we get shown often. It's sort of the opposite to say a 'Game of Thrones' style death that is gruesome, permanent, and consequential. Either way, I'm still having fun trying to piece it all together and really hoping all the ambiguity gets cleared up before the end of the series.

If next season takes a while as well (not a complaint, if it needs to then it needs to) it might be warranted to have a recap episode so folks like me don't have to skim wikipedia to remind ourselves what we forgot ^^;

Natsuki's defense magic is that broken that she cooked Curse with relative ease, which was quite surprising.
Looks like Risu is now with Nikaido and Asu after being recovered from Aikawa.
Wow, Aikawa is being tormented by sum and he's coughing up blood that isn't human.
Is that a Red moon?? Alr, so kinda like a werewolf under a full moon, but red.
Now bro bleeding profusely and the Torso-less man is saying that he never existed.
Just as that happens, he loses his head and a new one spawns. Maybe every red moon, he spawns a new head, idk.

I don't think I've seen brighter death flags all my life holy shit. I loved how much there was this heavy air this episode regarding both Aikawa and Risu. RIP Natsuki. I don't think I can take the wait for season 3 even tho I waited 6 years for season 2 lmao, I'm gonna read the manga.

This show never stops getting weirder, I love it, but it is also getting more confusing, especially with this boss character which is practically speechless.
