  lmao Nobara seemed so much like a jobber in this episode than she did in the manga. Good episode, AD work is saving JJK episodes now but some drawings and walk/run cycles were wonky.

    they were definitely cutting corners but overall the end product wasn't bad (despite a few weird still shots and walk cycles) so I personally don't mind, especially if this means a better quality for more relevant moments going forward

  I dunno how I feel about Toji's return. it seems too casual and easy for something like coming back FROM THE FUCKING DEAD. the excuse of "body info beat soul info" doesn't ease my mind either. I know we've seen it happen with Geto but it just doesn't sit right with me. hopefully, it's explained a bit more because I don't want deaths to feel meaningless.

  as for NANAMI... always knew he was a fucking BADASS. the VOICE and STYLE of that man... my favourite character in the show so far, one of the three in my favourites list besides Itadori and Nobara.

  tension and stakes felt great too, low-key was ready for Nitta to bite the dust

  anyways, banger episode! hoping for more :)

  edit: also wanted to say I'm anime only, just keep that in mind
  edit 2: Ui Ui clapping after Mei Mei's monologue was hilarious xD

  This episode actually felt pretty well directed overall with a quite satisfying beatdown delivered by Nanami. The technique of the now beat up guy is a bit intriguing, his monologue was left vague but I guess he has the taste for killing/torturing people and dislikes the world which admonishes him for it? The pacing oddly enough feels rather slow at the moment.

  The quality is wonky as always though, some of the worst off-model drawings I recall from this season so far, movement being weird or perspective issues, and also zoomed-in cuts because they are unfinished most likely. An insane amount of 2nd KA as well (71 + 2 studios where the amount isn’t listed). Different from the episode before, the key animation staff is competent through-out this time but there simply wasn't the time to finish and clean the animation properly, and it shows everywhere. Even the detailed drawings had sometimes anatomy issues or the movement was weird.

  I'm not good with words, so I'm only gonna say that Nanami was powerful and intimidating in that episode. I loved it. Also, Toji????? I didn't read through or past the Shibuya Arc in the manga, but now I'm wondering if I should full speed ahead. This episode had me pretty excited of what's to come. Of course it had to end with Itadori and Choso.

  Definitely the best directed episode since Hidden Inventory. Still a bit slow pacing compared to season 1 and some of the cuts were a bit wonky, but it's not bad. Actually excited to see what's coming next, compared to some of the last episodes.
