I really like this series but shit plots like these really get in the way and nobody really points it out since well, "everyone loves it right?" and so they never put thought onto "why do I feel slightly irritated" and just accept it as fate like the story doesn't have flaws.

Well, i think nobody's gonna argue that he isn't an awful human being with you. Still, i think he's at least an interesting character that i can really sympathize with in some ways, but a lot of times i find myself really frustrated by his behavior as well. (even more so because i really want to like him, but he's not making it easy)
When people say "at least he's flawed" they're probably just talking about the fact that almost every other isekai protagonist is so extremely two dimensional and uninteresting.
And after all, watching horrible people on screen IS a lot more interesting than people who are basically saints, hence why there's so many serial-killer documentaries.
But in the end, i can completely understand if anyone doesn't wanna watch the show because of him, if he was just 95% less of a sex-offender it would make the show infinitely more recommendable to everyone.
If nothing else this series gives endless entertainment in thread format, you can play spot the American etc.

The best part is seeing what else they watch, and it's usually some trashy stuff that doesn't even attempt to tell a good story around it.
Same people complaining about sexual stuff are watching ecchi shows or straight up hentai, or give DB a 10/10 when there's quite a bit of sexual stuff in that show. And the ones complaining about pacing are watching One Piece or something.
And what does anything you said have to do with Mushoku Tensei objectively ruining it's story and making Rudeus unnecessarily insufferable? I'm just curious if you can actually backup this.
I understand why some people hated this episode. Wish I wasn't spoiled with the future of Rudeous because that is what kind of makes me dislike whats happening here. But then again I have to see how its done, because so far the story remains good.

The series for me is being handled pretty well, it gives you the vibes of an academy really, even if the harassing part was weird to some, I can picture that thing happening at some school in almost any country around the world. Curious they haven't shown anything worse, since schools around the world usually depict a way more erratic behavior in people.
I am so invested in this show, I can't really explain why. Rudeus and the other characters struggle in a way that it feels real, and not some plot-device, which don't get me wrong, it works great for the story, yet they feel real.
Not really feeling it for S2, it's weird. Every episode's plot is somehow related to Rudeus' dick not working. Feels like a letdown after the great first season, but I guess I'll keep watching because I trust the storytelling will get back on track after his peepee finally gets up.

Flawed characters do not make a story bad. Characters doing things you don't agree with does not make a story bad. Characters not thinking the same as you does not make a story bad. Characters doing things that you wouldn't do if you were in the same position does not make the story bad.
If you think that Rudy doing these things is bad, we are in agreement. If you would like to see Rudy acting better, we are in agreement.
What I don't like, however, is any hypocrisy between how people view this story and how they view way more sexualized stories that don't even attempt to paint those actions as bad. I get it though, most anime doesn't try, and because of that many fans are conditioned into believing that 'action x' they've seen in one anime will be treated the same in any other anime.
But knowing how this story goes, just let it cook.
You're acting like we should just swallow any garbage thrown our way and call it good storytelling. Characters can do things we don't agree with, sure. But it's how those flaws are handled and how they contribute to the overall narrative that matters. And when your main protagonist checks off boxes for being a pedophile, incel, racist, kidnapper, and doesn't face any major consequences for it, it's not just a matter of different opinions. Flawed characters exist so you can watch them develop, and when I say develop I don't mean backwards. We had a redemption story of a garbage human being being given a chance to redeem himself. And since the very first season he has only gotten thrice as worse, that doesn't scream good character progression for me, does it for you?
Wanna actually hear what makes a good story bad? It's when this season's whole focus and a sole way to push the story forward is Rudy having an ED. And I wouldn't even mention it if it actually impacted the narrative in a somewhat meaningful way. But so far it only led to two things: hooking a prostitute and kidnapping female students, followed by touching their breasts as a way to check if it makes his pp hard, which is just ridiculous. And then somehow he still wasn't kicked off the school after this incident. Still wanna tell me it doesn't make the story bad? What about every single episode being focused on Rudy's obsession with Roxy's panties? Do you find it comedic? Also, when Ariel's underwear fell off the window spawning side characters nearby, how in the world did everyone around knew it was hers? Do you find it a clever and original way to progress the plot too may I ask?
Then you talk about hypocrisy. You compare Mushoku Tensei to other shows with the same, or even more amount of sexualization. First of all, there are almost no shows with the same or more amount of sexualization if we're not out right talking about hentai or ecchi-focused shows, where literally everything revolves around sexualization. Second of all, people know what they're signing themselves for when watching DxD or something alike, whereas Mushoku Tensei presents itself as something entirely different. It's like trying to compare Lord of the Rings to some cheap horror movie people watch for entertainment purposes. Picking on these two with the same attitude would be senseless. You are trying to say that apples and chainsaws are the same because they're both objects. It's not about "action x" being treated the same in different anime, it's about context and presentation. When a show doesn't hold any significant value to begin with, a random panty shot wouldn't be perceived as harsh as if it was to happen in The Lord of The Rings, because in the latter's context, it would throw you off from an actual story going in it. And that's exactly what Mushoku Tensei does throughout all it's cours and seasons, this one in particular. And you wanna know a secret? I'd be much more entertained with some goofy horror movie, because there is a "good bad" concept going in it, than watching Lord of the Rings with constant panty shots, molesting children, and Frodo being racist towards Elves for no reason. Which is why I already have some objectively worse story-wise isekais rated higher than this cour. And I'm not gatekeeping you from liking this season, but please, at least have some self-respect not coming after people who don't share the same opinion, you're only gonna end up embarrassing yourself like every other Mushoku Tensei defender I've talked to previously, be it coincidence or not.
