And so the worst Bleach arc Begins
First episode wasn't anything special, but it wasn't bad.
No fake deaths or world breaking yet, but then again that comes later.
the only reason it turned out bad, mostly the end of it, is because kubo was rushed to end bleach, and it seems like he's going to have his chance to better flesh out everything in the anime, otherwise theres no real reason to hate it compared to past arcs

Not really. It started out OK, but then
we get a bunch of faked deaths, which were obviously fake to supposedly raise the stakes, which actually eliminated the stakes. Then there's the BS powers that show up and the out-of-nowhere super shinigami. I forget what they were called. Gotei 0? Don't really care to remember.
There's a reason they waited a decade to do this arc.
I like the first episode team Ichigo entry is charged up, love the intermission, animation is good. First episode 5/5 :)

The episode was breathtaking, nothing more to be said.
The visuals were outclass, the osts were pretty darn good. I really like Inoue's character model. Everything was perfect plus the special ending showing bleach journey was so damn good and nostalgic. I like how Getsgua Tensho is black now rather than old red or teaser's purple. Plus Ichigo screaming "Ban-kai" was so damn good. A really positive first episode

Definitely the anime I’m most excited for this season and despite what the negative nancy boruto watcher says, I personally loved reading this arc in the manga and It’s probs my second fav arc.
Gonna have to wait a while to see Riruka again though, but I’ll wait patiently.

Ok so you don't like the ending. I don't like how a few characters had obvious fake deaths, one in particular coming back and saying something a long the lines "We only pretended to loose badly" and one of my favourites getting his fake death "reaffirmed" and then getting back to life without a good explanations (which is actually the case for all fake deaths). But I guess you liked that.
I didn't like how Chado didn't care about the destruction he caused in the beginning of the episode. The rest wasn't anything special.

Yeah. I've seen some of that. My guess is that those people are younger. They are likely still rating everything a 10/10 or 9/10.
I remember when the manga was coming out with this arc how much people were hating it and rightfully so. A lot of people were saying things like "Bleach ends with Aisen" and the sales plummeted with both the Fullbring and the Blood War arcs. Most people dropped it.
All the fan backlash made whoever was producing the anime to not adapt this arc and the anime ended with the Fullbring arc. If the people who are arguing that it's the best arc were right, why did it take a decade to adapt?

Disclaimer: My opinion comes from 100% "blind" into this arc. I won't be talking about the adaptation but how this episode felt to me. (I watched the old anime and read until Fullbring arc)
TLDR: It was really cool, but Bleach issues exist from ep 1 already.
My first impression was that it looks amazing, the new style is pleasant to the eye despite some light, or filter being a bit weird. But it strikes me real weird why they stopped animating the Hollows, and going for a CG instead... Apparently there won't be a lot of Hollows either, so I don't get this decision at all. Aside from that, certain frames made me worry that they might overuse visual tricks to fake animation, or hide the lack of it. A bit weird but to be quite honest that was the case with the original too.
That's for the visuals.
Bleach has always been cool before anything else, style over substance and I have nothing against this particular way. However I wonder why the episode felt like two whole episodes together despite only being 20 minutes.
Well, the answer is simple, I found it quite rushed, quite a lot for a introduction episode that seemed to yell "WE'RE BACK"
From the moment the dude appeared on Ichigo's bed the episode felt like it suddenly changed. There wasn't any time for more group scenes (which to be quite honest, I want more because they are great together) the whole Hollow disappearing was forgotten, and the duo of shinigamis mission ended there, no explanation on any status or anything. They tried to create a mystery yet not even at the middle they kicked it away.
Of course, this is me yelling against a wall because I am sure the manga is the same. But the thing is, for the manga this was another chapter more, for the anime it was a new start, a new welcome. And yet it feels like aside from the cool protags presentation against the Hollows, anything else was just another episode more similar to a second or third season first episode.
Overall, while I found it a cool episode it made me think on how Kubo plans to fix this arc and what will matter more to this anime, being an anime or adapt the final arc from Bleach.
PD: This might be different for everyone because different subs choices but I found the official ones rather bad. Both visual wise and tl.

Well you said that it was rushed at the end, which is how I remember it. These things weren't just at the end. So was the whole arc rushed?
Its been a while so im not exactly sure how much of it was rushed, it wasn't the whole thing and it was the worst in the last 5 chapters or so iirc he was told to end it fast, its likely he's been pressed to end the series during a good chunk of the arc but i dont remember, its been several years since the manga ended and a decent amount of that infighting or so was released or at least what we know of, either way kubo did say he'll get to flesh out the arc so we'll see what changes
Hopefully a lot changes, but my guess it nothing is going to be different. Can't imagine him replacing the uno reverse powers of certain characters and other stuff like that.
To be perfectly honest, Squad 0 didn't come out from nowhere, their squad was first mentionned in Turn Back the Pendulum and has always been this super secret squad that only a select few can be promoted to. I don't remember any BS power, except perhaps Hitsugaya's true bankai, or Zaraki's shikai and bankai (which actually mirrors Ichigo's own progression during Soul Society arc (Manga spoiler). As for what you mentioned first, yeah I guess that is to be expected for a war arc in weekly shonen jump.
I created a discussion thread. It's just that my opinion is negative and people can't handle that. A discussion thread is not supposed to be just people saying it's the "bestest thing ever" and other gushing. You should be able to be an adult and discus the criticism and not just attack the person disagreeing with you, like you did.
Now why did it take so long to adapt I wonder?

Well, I do know how the arc goes and I start with a rating and adjust as I watch. Not to mention that this episode was a 5/10.
As for why I watch anime that I criticize, which I think is the question. If you're just blindly watching for the action or something else that just surface level, then you're not really consuming the media, in this case the story you're watching.

You're exactly right it's a "We're back" episode, but that's how the chapter was in the manga was as well if I remember correctly, since the Fullbring arc was a let down. And it's definitely got half an episode crammed in there with the starting episode so that the plot can get going very quickly.
I don't really want to tell you more since you're coming in blind. I will disagree with you that Bleach has always been style over substance. I'd say it became that starting with the Fullbring arc, but style has always been too important for Kubo.
Edit: I'm wrong about the chapters. In the manga it took 4 chapters to tell this episode, but there wasn't much happening in each chapter. I was right about it being a "We're back" chapter though.
