They spent most of the episode focusing on the bullying scene that people were looking forward and for the quality that the staff is able to provide it did fulfil its job. The sequence with Manabe mocking Karuizawa and others girls chanting with Karuizawa being reminded of her past was so well done you really felt bad for her. Then the lines that Ayanokoji said, sure they were on the weirder side but the execution was great at least in my opinion. The 2nd part of the episode didn't have as much suspense and "what will happen later" but with the little discussions we had I would say they handled it as best as they could. I'm not gonna complain because there is nothing to do here in my eyes, I'm enjoying it even through LN reader's lens. I look forward to how the rest of the story gets adapted and to see more favorite scenes in this medium. Karuizawa(Ayana Taketatsu) performance was so good this episode.

That whole "double swapping phone" kinda blew my mind away because it shows how intelligent Ayanokouji is.

Let me basically recap the "skipped parts" :

Hornikoji : Ayano basically was appriciating ichinose's thighs. The anime suggests this but does not confirm
Secoundly, ayanokouji also felt kei's thighs with damn passion :

“What, what do you want with me?! You’re just after my body, aren’t you?” she screamed.

“Your body, huh? You know, that doesn’t sound too bad.”
I ran my fingertips across Karuizawa’s thighs. She felt so incredibly soft that I couldn’t even imagine that she was a person like me. Her skin was silky smooth. The feel of it was incredibly different from my own.
“Eek!”
She tried to escape my touch. I held her tighter and forced her to look
straight at me. “Don’t run. If you try it again, I’ll tell everyone at school what I know about you.”
Those words were like a magic spell. She stiffened.
“You… Grr…” She sputtered.
Rage, panic, fear, despair: How many negative feelings had Karuizawa been carrying? She now realized that I was completely different from the meek person she knew from school. She probably found it terrifying.
“Spread your legs,” I commanded.

For those of you monke brains screaming "what if she sent an email", they also exchanged emails in the ln.
Ayanokouji underestimated ichinose and didnt think that Ichinose would be able to see through his plan.

Dont Worry Anime Onlys, Next episode is the explaination of ryueens plan. Dont believe the brain ded side of Light novel readers .

They went light on Kei tbh, was expecting punches and kicks and knees drove in the stomach but it was like that Rika girl was happy with just slapping. I hope they do not censor everything violent that way

This ep certainly skipped some stuff from the LN such as shortening the scene where Ayanokoji anonymously messages Manabe, and then the part where he touches Kei's thighs (wish they animated that but whatever lol). Regardless of that, they didn't cut anything that I would personally consider important and they got the main stuff in there so it was a great watch. I guess they're tryin to animate up to volume 7 within this season, which would mean around 3 eps per vol skipping the .5's.

Besides that, the anime did a pretty solid job at portraying the "spread your legs" scene and it certainly felt pretty intense, though nothing beats the LN since I was slightly disappointed about the lack of Ayanokoji pretending to take his belt off and the thigh touching I mentioned earlier as it took away a bit of the shock factor from the entire scene but I can look past that. Looking forward to next weeks ep and I hope they're able to adapt the other major moments properly as well

  yeah it’s a bit scary,
  although not much happens in volumes 5 and 6, they’re my favourite because they really showcase the magnificent growth of horikita so I hope they take extra care with every detail here

I haven't actually watched the show... but imagine unironically getting this hyped just for a sexual assault scene. Like, LN readers were hyping this up for years chanting "spread your legs" wherever they could. It's just funny to me. I feel like there are much better things to get invested in, but whatever I guess...

The ep was good in the sense that Karuizawa's character breakdown was done fairly well with the bullying sequence, however I felt like the game itself was lackluster compared to the previous season. I felt Ayanokouji's swap of the phone's sim cards was much more predictable as the ep came to a close, and I wanted to see more of the other groups, and what they did to try to win the game.

As much we would like v4 to be longer,it cant be and it is not bad pacing for the anime. V5 and V7 (mainly) needs as much care as possible.

It's not about what the scenes does for the character its about what people were hyping up and why its weird people were hyping up such a specific part that wasn't even hype in the slightest. People were trying to hype that "oh he does such a chad move" no that isn't hype lol everyone kept saying "oh man wait until yall see what Ayanokouji does its about to break the internet omg he is going to be so chad" that wasn't chad or hype in the slightest it was interesting character development that people hyped up in such an incorrect manner and for the wrong reason. People were hyping up what Ayanokouji did to her not how it broke down a character and creates a new arc for them lol

I'm not really sure how you people got this far into the story and only now realize it's 90% incel wet-dream.
