Seriously not one character in the alliance besides Annie and Reiner took a single bit of damage with all those thunder spears and bullets flying past them.

Last season has many absurd things like that. For example, a thunder spear exploded next to Levi and he just lost some fingers. Yeah, sure...

Also, it's supposed Eldians were sent to Paradise island to be trapped there with the titans. But now they say the wall titans will leave the island to invade the outside world? And not just that, they can reach Marley faster than the ship. Seriously? They walk super slow on earth, so it's obvious they should be much slower under sea, even if somebody says they are so tall that their head isn't covered by water. It's like when you are in the beach and walk to the water, your movement speed decrease gradually as you go deeper. Or are you going to say the wall titans can fly or swim? Also, underwater surface isn't flat. That should make it harder for them to move. And it seems they forgot about water pressure. Besides, its supposed that Marley had airships and cannons capable of killing titans quickly, they could kill those big slow titans without problem.

This last season is full of plot holes and absurd situations that were made rushed for the author's convenience because it's obvious he didn't have time to think a most logic way to extend the story and solve the problems. In other words, he just wanted to finish the story quickly, like if he was tired of thinking about it already.

So, even if the animation and opening are awesome, I just can give a low score to the story. Also, it was too annoying already that they title this season "final season" and divide it in two parts, and even like that they won't animate the last chapters of the manga. Seriously?

I hope the fans don't come now with things like "they need pauses to dedicate time to make a good animation". No. They don't need it. This thing of dividing seasons into parts of 12 episodes is a new bad habit that wasn't done before (also done by SAO Alicization). So, are you going to tell me that a studio cannot make a good animation of 24 episodes without pauses? Come on, there are many animes like Jujutsu Kaisen, Kimetsu no Yaiba and Vinland Saga that had 24 episodes with an amazing animation, and wasn't divided into parts. Also, the third season of Overlord was aired 6 months after the second one and they didn't consider them two parts of a single season so, there was no reason to call them "Final season part 1" and "Final season part 2". They didn't even should be called "Final season".

Divide the seasons in parts is just a strategy to make more money, airing and selling a single season twice, like two different products. What's next? Divide every season into parts of 1 episode? If they cannot make a full season of 24 episodes, then just say they are two different seasons of 12 episodes, and don't call it "Final season" if you are going to extend it because 12 episodes isn't enough. That thing annoys me a lot. It's like the Street Fighter games when they sell "Street fighter IV" and 3 years later "Super Street Fighter IV" and 3 years later "Ultra Street Fighter IV". I find this type of things annoying, like an insult from the company.

Floch was a king, He's way smarter than Armin because he knows that if Eren dies then Paradise dies with him, it's just a matter of time. Floch had been right since season 3 when they chose armin over Erwin.

They already acknowledged the fact that they were friends before in the scene with Armin and Connie, my guy. Like what, do you want them to keep saying it all throughout the fight scene? I also disagree with the sentiment that it was better in the manga on that front. What does it matter if their stomachs or heads were cut off when they wind up dying anyway.

Also, about Magath, the whole point of his character arc is to show a change in perspective can alter your view on any situation. Same goes for Gabi. It's not that he's a shit person, but it's the fact that he spawned on the side of Marley whilst the viewer is exposed to and roots for the people of Paradis.

And just when I thought there couldn't be any more bad takes here, you go ahead and advocate for genocide, so you kind of put the nail in your own coffin.

I agree with what you said. Post time skip is an absolute mess, there are 10/10 chapters but for some reason Isayama feels the need to balance it out with 5/10 ones.

Here's the thing, I was willing to look past all the plot holes, plot armor, inconsistencies, retcons, and overall cringe, if Isayama stuck the landing for the ending of AOT which he absolutely failed at doing. He even admitted in an interview with Zekken that the themes he wanted to write for the ending was beyond his ability and he regretted that he wasn’t able to do a better job expressing it. So, if the author didn't like the way he ended things then you just know there's a huge problem.

A great ending can easily make people forget about terrible writing. I and many others think Code Geass has one of the greatest endings of all time, but the show has had a lot of moments of questionable writing, but everyone forgot about it because they loved the ending so much. Since I hated the ending of AOT I was no longer going to look past all these problems, so I waited for the anime to release so I can finally start ranting about what I and many others hated.

Levy should have killed all the titans outside the walls when they let beast titan escape third season pre timeskip.

Their weight should be compensated at water, considering titans are like human bodies (a.k.a. are magic), if their density is not inferior to real humans (because their size is way bigger real humans).
Another trick is that water cools the titans, which if you watch the show is a big problem for the colossals.
So, yes, it might be able to move faster underwater, due to factors you ignore.
Also there is a big titan parade, titans should have a significant head start (those 2 or more days before Mikasa and co. set off. since episode 6)
But yes, you should stop applying physics for it. They don't exist for titans since the beginning.

a- There's no time to sit there and weep. The Rumbling's is chugging along, and it's not like they can afford to grieve over these people's deaths. Ironically enough, that would be playing right into their hands. A small extra scene at the end would've been nice, but the lack there of does not ruin the episode.

b- Magath is not an objectively shitty person. He was conditioned to hate Eldians, but these beliefs and ideals do not define him. What does is his ability to change his stance when presented with the full picture. A truly shitty person would not even begin to consider the possibility that their previous ideals were wrong.

c- I absolutely hate your use of the word "factual". Firstly because it is grammatically incorrect, but also because it has no place in something as subjective as a character analysis.

d- Just because Eren has a reason to do what he did doesn't make it any less fucked up. That might come as a surprise to you, but killing everyone is wrong? Yeah, shocker. It being fictional shouldn't have any bearing over your stance on it.

e- I'm against Eren because I can think for myself. I don't have to follow the other characters blindly to understand that murdering everyone is bad.
