Didn't like the song at first, but it grew on me as I rewatched the ED a few times. Really loved the visuals and the part with older Eren walking + the music in that part and then him fading away (burning away?) was so good

  Yep I didn't pay attention to the lyrics in the first ep but I noticed them while watching the episode yesterday. It makes so much sense in context with Eren

I am an anime connoisseur
So the new op was very good actually the visuals and music match the theme perfectly
And those know the plot and shit will also say that this opening was the right choice

Secondly the animation was dogshit
The titans looked like some flipbook animation
I feel like they are trying way too hard to make it look like the manga one for which I do credit them but it also makes it look kinda bad.

wtf does this even mean. I for one couldnt even tell that the colossal titans were 3d at first and thought they were 2d. The CG for the other titans was fucking awesome too.

I loved it. It reminds me of the outro in S1, which was from Mikasa's prospective. Is like they're having a conversation.

days late but omg this exact thought !!! i loved the first ed with mikasa sm so when they showed eren in his version of the field my heart positively dropped in my chest in the best possible way

The ending? LOVED IT! The overgrown buildings, the cage, the flowers, everything was just so good and I'm in it for the symbolism. It fits in perfectly with the anime/story so I think they did a swell job.

The opening was not to my taste, I feel like the metal kind of takes away from the seriousness of this final part. But then again, the chaos is definitely on par with what happens later. (Just wanted to add this)

I love both. Personally, I prefer the OP to the ED (thought the ED is still beautiful) but I really appreciate the OP especially the screamo mixed with the hook. The lyrics are so accurate and heart-wrenching at the hook. But honestly, the visuals for both take the cake for me. I mean it's absolutely stunning to look at.

One of the best endings in my opinion, I wasnt that bothered about it at first but its grown on me a lot, also shout out to the opening which is the best opening!

  Metalcore aka Metallic hardcore is a subgenre that originated when people from the hardcore scene started fucking around with elements of metal in their music, it’s inspired by metal not a product of metal. Closest metal genre I could think that’s related to it would be melodeath and even then there’s a very clear difference in sound
