Yeah, as a girl, I don't like metal music. The lyrics and visuals were great though. I liked the ending more, the shot of Eren walking and disappearing with the flame at the end was cool. I liked part 1's ending more than this though or maybe I like them equally

Thought it was one of the worst openings I've ever heard on first listen. It's gradually growing on me the more I listen to it.

Also the lyrics are fantastic

As someone who doesn't know if its appropriate for the season or not, I found it rather dull. The opening for part 1 was a far more interesting OP

  Appropriate as in, I haven't watched SnK since s1 and I haven't read any of the manga. I really have no idea on the aesthetics or the themes of the show or what this season will cover. It very well might fit in perfectly with that, thats what I was trying to reference :)

I totally get that. I think this is probably the most hit or miss opening they have, but as someone who loves metal and SiM already it slaps so hard for me

idea was good, but i don't like the song and art isn't the best, also I noticed that this opening has a lot of spoilers, its not bad but aot has better openings

It's different but it works so well. I think this one is pretty simular to the opening of part 1 in the sense that people hate it at the start but it slowly grows on you.

The only other SiM song I've listened to was KiLLiNG ME, which i used for my english project. And new OP is not as epic as the others, but still good.

Both opening and ending are fantastic but I'd say the ending song is in a league of its own
The op is mp the 2nd best for me but the ending is the best in the series

Part 1 ending was already amazing but Part 2 ending put the cherry on top. Putting both together I think this might be my favorite OP/ED combo of any season so far.

  The new op isn't on par with Red Swan but still solid and the ending song manages to blow both openings and Akatsuki no Requiem out of the water
  I'm so glad that both artists managed to land the songs for the season

The visuals are amazing. I don't think any AOT opening had such great visuals before, but I don't want to comment on the vocals.
It might be like 'My war', In start I thought it's bad but gradually, it became my fav OP

  Yeah sorry about that. It's hard to put in words what I think. Even if I was a guy that liked shoujo anime like slice of life romance anime, I would say something like "As a guy, I hella love this opening and anime". Sorry for not having a normal way of talking. I have more trouble of putting thoughts into words because of my autism. I got my mom mad about it this morning. She said she doesn't know who on earth I take after, that everything that comes out of my mouth is terrible, that humans aren't mind readers that know what's in your heart

What is that suppose to mean? It's not like people actually care what gender you are, everyone here is commenting about what they think about the show, not to be sexist. "As a guy" or "As a girl" does not and should not make your opinion any more or any less valid, we're all here to just enjoy talking about the new AoT, not to be assholes to one another just because we identify differently.

Because your comment implies that girls can't like metal which is a meaningless generalization. As a community we've reached a point where a person's tastes can be independent of what they're packing in their pants, which is great. There's no need to bring gender tropes back.

  Do you hate anime being classed as shounen, shoujo, seinen, and josei btw.
  Shounen = young boys
  Shoujo = young girls
  Seinen = adult males
  Josei = adult women
  As an adult girl,I like seinens the most and dislike josei the most. I've only watched 5 - 10 josei out of the 320 I watched. As a girl, I don't like this new AOT opening because I don't like metal. Not trying to be rude, just saying what I think.
