Also don't spoil me
No, this is not random hate for a well-liked show for the sake of causing conflict, I actually hate those type of people with a passion, I'm just genuinely curious as to why it is so highly ranked despite it being a very enjoyable show but I definitely woulf not ranked among the top 15 with the likes of Steel Ball Run or Vagabond,(I'm currently at Season 2 of the anime) are the later arcs that good? If so, kindly enlighten me as to why people consider it to be that good
Also don't spoil me
it's just a fun show with fun characters
Is there anything more? I assume that the later arcs are really, really good for it to be ranked so high
idk man, i've only seen the anime, but it's a good series that just has fun with itself. with over the top humour, and just a lot of fun to be had with it.
Not necessarily, but for the manga they all get a ton of development. But at the end of the day it comes back to that original point: Fun series with fun characters. It's just fun to watch/read
People like it and gave it a positive score
Kindly explain as to why it is ranked among the top 15? Because a lot of people also like other shows but they aren't in the top 15 on AL
Well like I said before a lot of people rated it very highly, and the more positive feedback it gets, the higher the ranking.
Yeah, but other shows are also well liked and has positive feedback, so why does kaguya sama have a higher ranking than other well liked shows and what differentiates it from other good shows?
The comedy is gold and all characters are likeable
people had a great time watching it.
Because the manga (post s2, right where anime ends) seriously starts towards the progression of Shirogane and Kaguya's relation and those are probably some of the best arcs in the entire rom-com genre.

Exactly
You won't be disappointed my friend
Its mostly because of the manga content which comes after season 2, the latter half of s2 gave a slight glimpse to the potential. Though I would still give both anime seasons 9+/10
People watched/read it and gave it a high score because they liked it. I think it's also because A LOT of people did just that. Vagabond and Steel Ball Run are well-known series as well but I feel like more people have seen/read Kaguya-sama and rated it positively which is why the rating is so high.
That actually makes a lot of sense
It's the only thing I could possibly think of haha, I've only watched Season 1 of the anime myself and haven't read the manga so I can't comment much on the actual story
Imagine assuming a manga's only highly rated because it's popular without even reading it.
I can only talk for what I saw in the 2 seasons of anime. As a person that doesn't like anime 'like Kaguya sama' I can see how it's still one of the best in that genre. There is no unneccesary harem, the comedy hits most of the time (not only for me, but also most people I talked to). I think the best recipe to have a high rating is managing to make people that dont really like the genre still give it a decent rating (the same thing FMAB achieves). Obviously I need to address the elephant in the room, which is that manga are less accessible than anime so the majority of people who put it on their list are fans of the manga. I can't comment on the actual manga though since I didn't read it so take it with a grain of salt
hi panos
A lot of people like it
A lot of people also like the Jujutsu kaisen manga but it isn't in the top 15 unlike Kaguya-sama
Well more people like Kaguya
It's pretty simple; it's because the story is actually really good.
Standard note: IMO, almost every story starts out bad and gets better over time. Season 1 of the anime isn't great, but the later parts are some of the best romance I've read.
I haven't read much of the stuff near the top of the lists, so I can't compare it to similar things. But the only way to get an accurate impression is to actually read the good parts, not just judge based on the bad ones.
I assume most people, like myself, just rate based on how they felt about something as opposed to being overly comparative or analytical. It's just a lot of fun to watch, so people rate it high.
It's a combination of the content you've seen so far and the amazing content afterwards. Everyone develops so much and some very difficult topics are brought up and handled spectacularly (Ishigami goes thru it).
fun characters, fun show + top tier editing rivalling jojo.
Out of the people who read it, a lot more people liked it than hated it. The distribution is very one sided.
bcs its peak comedy and its rare
i wouldnt know
It evolves immensely
FUn CHaracters and story, With an actual introspection from them about romance and relationships, adding more deep to them and the world in general. The way many plot points are established way early on and are suddenly bit by bit developed until they get the spotlight, nothing comes out of nowhere. Plus the developing of many characters in the series, specially the two main ones, that slowly are taking off their masks showing their internal problems and are mucho more than what it seems at first glance, and the reasons those masks exist and why they are important to them. In general there are so many details in Kaguya that support the story and when you pay attention to them you can see how well thought the series was from the beggining. Those are some points that I consider it amazing and tryng to not give direct spoilers.
I think it's because of the character evolution and how they at first seem like you say, typical, but then gets a more mature tone. I've not read nearly any manga but this one just touched me. Also it's a rom-com and, believe me, there's not a lot of well-written and driven ones (at least in animes). That's my humble opinion!
You'd think that the anime is of super high production value, great cast and amazing story writing for it to be this high. But in reality it's just that the fanbase enjoys the anime/whole series just that much.
Most people score out of enjoyment and therefore that should be reflected in the score you see on Kaguya-sama. How you see Kaguya is similar to how I see FMAB, i didn't enjoy it one bit but it obviously left a great mark on a lot of people. Also, tied to the beginning of my comment, I believe Kaguya-sama is an anime of wicked quality.
yeah ice kaguya is an amazing arc
i havent finished it'' but from what i know its just a somewhat funny show and probably the romance gets some sort of conclusion at the end but so far its just milking the seasons with not much development. in my opinion. i didnt think it was good enough to continue watching so i dropped it.
I can't speak for other people and I've only read the manga and watched a bit of the anime but so far it's hard to recall any other manga/anime that had me laughing so much. Just thinking about it and not any moment in particular makes me smile. It's also out there in terms of originality. The execution is also great with how dramatic and action packed it is despite being something so simple such as not confessing. Just the title is eye catching "Love is War." It's so outlandish and funny.
To summarize, basically, people like it because it's unique, entertaining, and funny, so funny in fact that the emotion people associate it with as a whole is good/funny, which is why people probably rate it so highly.
story gets cracked later on its gonna be so good
Finally a proper answer that isn't just: "oh they just like it"
