I DISAGREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
I love it tbh.
i personally think it’s great but i know some people don’t like it
Are you complaining about a 67? Thats like average anime. Not bad not good. Just another anime about volleyball.
honestly was hoping it would be around 70% and I am also talking about people talking trash about it
I'm a bit underwhelmed by how this site calculates the mean score. Judging from the score distribution the top of an imagined curve should be at approximately 71%.
its good tho, it deserves higher
it's because they prefer Haikyuu more since Haikyuu is one of those kind of over hyped popularized animes like MHA and even Black Clover
Personally I really do not like this show at all (before you say ''Because of Haikyuu'', I have NOT watched that anime). I've seen more anime I like more. It's not bad but it's not good at all in my opinion
I have watched Haikyuu and enjoyed it, but my opinion of this anime isn't really influenced by a comparison between the two. It's more that I have issues with the animation and pacing so far, so I have it rated kind of low (on my scale), but I'm going to continue it and hope it improves. I just think it doesn't really compare in quality to some anime this season.
I agree that the pacing is it a bit slow, but I like how much it is focused on their relationship
I like that focus too! That's honestly why I'm sticking with it, because I want to see how far they take that focus. The pacing has just been a bit wonky so far.
I'll only rate it when completed, but yes, so far, it's the bored face rating for me.
It seems to not be a sport anime, but more of a SoL. Which would be fine in theory.
But everything (characters, situations…) feels as extremely stereotypical with nothing standing out. And the time skips don't help here.
i honestly just dont like the characters, i feel like they have room to grow on me but rn i just cant get invested into it, at all.
I dunno...I can't quite pin point it but I'm just not invested in the characters other than the main two....everyone else feels pretty meh IMO...and the story hasn't really hooked me yet. It's not bad, but not great either T-T I like the OP though.
Edit: after watching a few more episodes I'd say it's getting better. I like that they introduced the new team and it's creating drama/conflict in this way
I think its just average,, the pacing is def a problem, comedy i think is lacking and, while i personally dont hate any of the characters, there's no real reason to really like them either..
Some of it might be people who expect a sports shonen like "Haikyuu!!" and gets disappointed because they are not yet mature enough to appreciate a SoL josei.
Some of it might be that people who drop the show tends to rate it at an earlier date than the people who stick with it.
And some of it might be that, despite having several interesting elements, it has yet to truly hook people. I personally find it decent and interesting enough to stick with. I don't know why people are complaining about the pacing and/or the ED as I really like both the OP and the ED, and I find the pacing easy to follow. I think it's neither rushed nor wonky. I am still waiting for it to grab my emotions, though.
I don't know why people are complaining about 「…」 the ED
Isn't a lot of people complains about the fact that some contents are post-ED, rather than the ED in itself? Though, I am not sure why it would be detrimental, once you know that this is how the anime works.
About pacing issue, personally, I find the time skips detrimental to the SOL aspect; 2 time skips for 4 episodes don't let me the time to properly connect with the characters. Hopefully, there won't be anymore, so I can try to settle with the characters. :)
There was someone complaining about the ED specifically further up in this thread.
I am not sure why it would be detrimental, once you know that this is how the anime works.
I know, right? OP and ED generally have standard length of 1:30, so it's not like it's hard to skip. I usually enjoy them, though.
As for the pacing, I think the linear story-telling fits this series better than flash-backs, so I'm glad they started it the way they did.
Score doenst matter only if you enjoy it yourself :)
its not something special, I'd give it like a 5 or 6/10
It seems rushed too much. I don't have time to feel the drama.
cuz the pacing is disgustingly trash and the characters are drier than the sahara desert
65% isn't that bad + it's not finished yet
It is just boring.
People will always compare a volleyball anime to haikyuu when in fact 2.43 adds a different spin to the volleyball genre. Sadly I feel it won't be recognised by a lot of the community, it feels like a hidden gem honestly.
i didn't think the show was anything special, but 2.43 seems like a really harsh score
lmao
I think that most people expected the second Haikyuu and this anime is definitely worse than it. But I think that it is still worth watching. By the way, I will never understand people that rate anime before watching at least 50% of it.
I honestly enjoy slower pacing, it gives us more time to actually enjoy and feel attached to the character relationships
To each their own :)
