I am gonna lose my god damn mind if they cut him from the show

This episode was wack and I loved it

that's a strong divergence from the manga is all I can say

this ep was very different comparing to manga, a lot of things was missing

Bruv the cliffhanger though.. and Sonju wanting to eat the childrens future kids is wack

as someone who read the manga I don't really like the pace they're taking for the anime at all. I feel like they've cut out certain things to save time, but then turn around and cut out other important scenes and replace them with boring filler and conversations. I'm worried that since there's only 11 episodes in this season certain things are going to be rushed, or they're going to end it in another cliff hanger and anime onlys are going to have to wait another y e a r for plot progression :/

this arc was super interesting in the manga too. I just hope they hurry up the pace.

I love this kid.

Not going to lie, I was on the edge of my seat when they first entered the underground shelter. It was really tense.

I'm so glad that I'm not the only one who found this episode different from the manga. I thought I was misremembering things lmao

I wonder if the anime cut that character out? Hmm... The cookies were mouldy.

I'm not sure which direction the story will be going. I'm a little anxious.

Phil used to be my favorite but now it might be this guy.

Mujika doesn't say some very important stuff to Emma, "Help" is written instead of "Poachers" (which probably means no Goldy Pond), no Mister (probably went through with killing himself or got caught outside, to my dismay), and they get a call from Minerva (which was supposed to be from Norman Minerva, if I'm not mistaken)

I really don't like the direction this has taken, regardless of "this is an adaptation so they have the right to change a few things".

According to this, this season will be going in a different direction after episode 4...

I definitely think that the amulet the demon gave Emma is some sort of tracking device. Similar to the whole thing with their ears in the House, and seeing what Sonju is really like kinda confirmed that for me.
The shelter is honestly kinda sketch especially "HELP' written on the walls. AND WHY WOULD EMMA PICK UP THE PHONE. Like I get she pretty much fully trusts this William Minerva guy but if I just found a creepy room no one knows about I wouldn't pick up a payphone that's mysteriously ringing as soon as you walk in the room.

I got spoiled that Norman is alive a while ago so that aspect is kinda ruined for me but I thought that Norman was Minerva in a way? Like I get that the books were in the house before him but maybe he like took over his job or something. I had a small inkling that he was alive when Isabella took him to a different room and it didn't explicitly show him dead.
But that's all I know outside of the anime so please don't spoil anything else :)

Let's see here, this might be a longer spoiler comment, but I'll try and fit all the changes from the manga in this episode, which is a lot.
The episode adapted chapters 50-56 while skipping chapter 53 all toghether.

Chapter 50 skipped content - Children talking about needing more people to save other kids. They then ask Sonju about other runaway humans and Sonju then explains that there are multiple farms, even those with kids who have no names. And that there are only 4 top tier farms, like Grace Field. And advises them to lure out demons to attack the farms.
The anime only focused on the last part of the chapter, with Sonju and Ray being an anime only scene.

Chapter 51 skipped content - The completely skipped talking about the promise. In the manga when Emma is given the amulet, Mujika tells her about the Seven Walls. And After They leave, Sonju then talks to Mujika and says than only humans can break the promise. Mujika than has an internal monologue, revealing that there is more than one promise. In the end they show Norman and Connie appearing kind of "in spirit" to the kids as a motivation.

The anime then decided to rearrange a lot of scenes from chapter 52 going forward.

Chapters 52-54 - Completely avoided showing "Mister" in the episode, they meet him straight at the point of entering the bunker. Chapter 53 which was skipped, showed his unwelcoming introduction, him denying being Minerva, holding Emma at gunpoint and telling the children to leave. Chapter 54 then focuses more on the conflict, with "Mister" passing out near the end.

The shelter exploration is quite different from the manga as well, I'll try and put it in perspective from the manga here:
Children arrive at the monitor room (52)
Letter from Minerva (56), there's a difference from the manga here: no Goldy Pond coordinates
Conversation in the Kitchen (anime only)
Bathroom (55), Gilda telling them to not use it now (anime only)
Storage room, garden, library (anime only)
Piano (55)
secret room with a passage (anime only), difference from manga: there's an armory there in the manga
Bath and eating (55)
Radio scene (anime only)
Writing on the wall (54), there's a difference from the manga here: says HELP instead of POACHERS

Now, as to where I think they might be going with it.
I think they might skip Goldy Pond arc altogether, and the "Mister" or Yagoo character as well and they might go in a different direction from here on out.
I hope not, cause unlike many others, I liked the search for minerva and goldy pond arcs quite a bit, they were my favorite. I'd say that after goldy pond, maybe there's room to change stuff, but I'm quite confused as to what they'll do here.

The first two episodes were SO boring I really thought all that suspense they worked for got killed by those two episodes but this episode gives me a little bit of hope. I haven't read the manga but the whole plot seems predictable to me?? idk.
