i feel the same, it also seems like it won't be just about Volleyball like Haikyu, but there will be more drama around the MC with glasses, looks promising.
Considering this is originally a novel, it will probably be more centered around character drama and be more similar to Hoshiai no Sora than Haikyuu.
yeah that was what I thought, but Volleyball was shown at the very begging, and we got that short break which game rules. So unlike Hoshiai no Sora I think Volleyball will take a bigger part and less drama, I would compare it to Ahiru no Sora I think, but again just 1 episode out I can't be sure.
Felt like a mix between Haikyu and Given, and those two are some of my favorites, so I’m excited for more

the blond guy is just kags in tsukishima's body lol. i felt really sorry for the mc, everyone's just pushing him around. the animation is really good (which is a big plus) and i have high hopes for this!!
A bit different from what I expected it to be but it wasn't bad at all. I feel like it's to early to judge anything with the story as we were limited with what we saw besides the begging ultra short backstory and the ending cliffhanger, but overall I feel it's a good start. Character wise it's kind of the same since we only got to really see two members of the team and your generic asshole "kid-adults". But so far I liked both Yuni and Hajima, I just can't wait to see the rest of the team. And finally what most people would agree was the strong suit of this pilot episode: the animation. David Productions is a household name by now and they did not disappoint with the animation at all. It's super clean and I can't wait to see it in action during upcoming matches.
Overall even though the time in the anime went quickly, the story itself didn't really advance. But that's ok, it's what we usually see in sports anime. As I said, it's still to early to judge anything but I like where it's going so far. It will be interesting to see how the story builds off the cliffhanger. The story really has some great potential, Im looking forward to upcoming eps!

Unlike Haikyuu this has Slice of life in genre so it will be pretty different

Originally was gonna skip this one because I thought it'd just be a worse version of Haikyuu, but after reading the comments here and deciding to give it a shot, I ended up really enjoying it. Great so far
It reminded me a bit of Hoshiai no Sora, but I expect this be good cause it have potencial and I liked it.

Part 2 of haikyuu S4 was really good, so idk what tf ur on about but yea I agree ep 1 was good and op and ed were bangers also I don't think we should be comparing this to haikyuu since they can stand alone as completely different anime styles just with the same sport centering around it
I liked it, but not love it. It seems like a typical drama anime but with Volleyball, which also can be good sometimes

I liked this first episode, although the animation is not something like kny or opm, it is still something very cool. And because of the little drama that was shown in this episode, I think it has a lot of potential.
Unlike Haikyuu this has Slice of life in genres so yeah i agree. Haikyuu is more centered around voleyball, sportsman's struggles and their development process this one will be more about person's development
