I personally think that A Silent Voice adaptation is unfaithful to the manga and that it's a trash adaptation.

A lot of people enjoy it, and although I think it's a pretty average story....the music and visuals are far too great for you to not check it out.

personally I find your name to be the best and worst work by Shinkai. Its his best work because everything he has done before it builds up to this movie and you can see and feel elements from his previous work. The problem for me is I can't connect with a story with such big super nature elements. I like the more simple and bleak and realistic movies shinkai did before, were most of them are unhappy sad endings they also teach a lesson or some sort of big idea.

Personally I think it's just an ok anime. Not the best, not the worst either. But since there are so many people who love this anime a lot for some reason I think you should check it out.
(I think there are better movies out there you could watch though)

It's a refreshing execution of what would otherwise be an average story even without gorgeous visuals and good music.

Your Name is one of the best anime movies I have seen, I highly recommend it. The visuals are beautiful and I admire how the director used real locations from tokyo into the story. The score (By Radwimps) is also amazing. The plot is confusing but like some anime movies you have to watch it a second time to truly understand it.

I watched it on big screen with my family, I really liked it and so did my parents.
I wished my sister would've watched it too, that way I'd probably be able to give an in dept analysis about the scenery, camera angles, music,....
(I watched it after we got the news about the meteor in Japan this month.)

I would say we all have different opinions when it comes to any anime, personally this is my favorite anime movie, even I know that many people think it is overrated and they are not wrong with their opinion but, this movie made me feel things which I could not describe on the scale of 1 to 10, so you should atleast give it a shot, who knows maybe you will have same opinion as me

Yea after your name watch either "Your lie in April" or " I want to eat your pancreas" I personally loved both but I slightly like " I want to eat your pancreas" better just because of the music theme in your lie in April.

  Well it seems it was not meant for you personally it is my favorite anime movie and I think you should not call something garbage if you didn't like it, since it's derepectful to the artists who worked hard on it you could atleast say it didn't suit your taste

    I've watched half of it and it didn't click with me at all.
    I didn't like it so I'll call it garbage.
    I think that the artists and animators did a great job and that the movie is visually stunning.
