I personally read the manga first then watch the anime, because the manga is usually more detailed so when you watch the anime you have more of a backstory!

I've read the Manga first and then tried watching the anime. I instantly felt a big difference between the two mediums. I personally like Q. Hashida's gritty artstyle and the anime is almost a disgrace to the Manga's Artwork. The most important thing though is the story and atmosphere: Story-wise as far as i saw the anime it adapted the Source material very accordingly but what bugged me out from watching the anime any further is that i felt the anime didn't nail the tone of The manga and it felt very off. I strongly believe the anime is indeed decent but it's not true to its source. I'd say read the manga first, especially since the manga is finished and you can read it without waiting for a second season as you would have to when watching the anime.

I watched the anime and it was decent but i've heard its like only 25% of the story i dont really read manga but if you do, i would recommend the manga for sure!

Not even that, it only delivers an introduction (6 of 23 volumes, but the plot will truly start in the second sason if there is one). it's more of a mystery manga than a comedy manga.

I would say manga over the anime . Mappa did a great job with the show but I feel it would be better to read the manga in one continuous flow than to take seasonal breaks also the gritty artstyle of the mangaka suits the story so well especially in the later arcs

i'm curious for this specific example for those that did both preferably. the manga seems longer while the anime is only 12 eps so is the anime not finished?

personally I haven’t read/watched either, but based off of everything I’ve heard people say and the glimpses I’ve seen of the manga/anime, I’d say manga seems better by a country mile

Either works, I went into the anime expecting to hate it since I liked the manga but ended up liking it. The CGI is pretty solid if that's your concern. Just depends on what you really prefer as per usual with most anime
