Author. Born in Kanagawa Prefecture in 1981. Scorpio. After living abroad in New York and Florida, she graduated from Sophia University with a degree in Spanish.

She kept a diary every single day since she was 10 years old, and had her first serialized work while still in university. She debuted in 2006 with the essay "Otoko no Tsuushinbo" (Kodansha), which candidly described the love lives of men in their twenties. Gaining overwhelming support from women, the "Otoko" series has become a long-selling hit with over 100,000 copies sold in total. Her first novel, "11cm no Pin Heel" (Shogakukan), published in 2007, also became a bestseller.

Since her debut, her main style has been writing serials for women's fashion magazines. She is highly regarded for her style of realistically capturing "the present moment" amidst ever-changing trends and thoroughly depicting "women and their feelings" living within that context. She lives in Tokyo.
