Your Name.
2016 · Movie
Your name is one of the best or the best anime movie to exist and thank you Makoto Shinkai for your masterpieces.
100Your name has had a special place in my heart for a long time now. Ever since I was a kid my brother always played songs from your name and they were so good! When I finally watched it I genuinely shed a tear because it was so good.
The start was really interesting the Mitsuha and Taki switching bodies its a really cool concept in my opinion. But where it starts to get very interesting is when Mitsuha died. When Mitsuha died Taki went looking for her this showed that Taki was starting to love Mitsuha and it was really interesting because all this time he has been kinda mad at her for spending he's money for cafe's and setting a date up with his crush from work. But it was really that set up that made him realised he was in love with Mitsuha and not Miss Okudera. They were all akward throughout that date. Now a big eater egg during that date was when they went to this one place with memorial places hanged on the wall, you can see Mitsuha home town in the picture. This date was before Mitsuha death. Now if you watched it carefully there was a tv news streaming in Mitsuha place about a comet passing by and it will look beautiful. Mitsuha saw this as an opportunity to be a nice thing to do in their date and so she added it to the planned date notes. But when the time came for their last part of the date, the comet wasn't there it was supposed to past through out Japan. All this I said was clues leading up to the big plot twist that Taki and Mitsuha were in different time periods. Its actually amazing how much clues there was leading up to the plot twist like when Taki was in Mitsuha body getting ready for school but then her grandmother was confused what she was doing on a weekend this shows Taki time was different form what he remembered, or when Mitsuha was heading to Tokyo to meet Taki but when she saw him Taki didn't know her. Its amazing how much more foreshadowing there was leading up to this moment its amazing how good Makoto Shinkai is of a director.
Another thing that amazes me is how good they portrayed the red string theory. When Taki and Mitsuha first met on that train and she gave her the red string to remember her. The string getting pulled when they were running to find each other was just an amazing scene it portrays their unbreakable bond always finding each other which is a key factor of the red string theory. They also found each other when they were adults as soon as they saw each other on that train and when they were in the stairs. They knew they were the person they've been looking for. There brain may have not known who they were because there memory got erased but there hearts knew and so that's why they cried when they saw each other again.
Last thing I want to talk about is how amazing the music is like all of them are in my playlist and Radwimps really did a good job portraying the anime. sparkle was so nostalgic, dream lantern and nandemonaiya were so amazing. But favourite got to be zenzenzense especially when Mitsuha and Taki were writing on the their face telling eachother not to do this and that, and it transitions to zenzenzense always hits so hard.
Makoto Shinkai has got to be my favourite film maker movies like weathering with you, suzume, garden of words and 10 centimetre per seconds are all masterpieces. He one of the best to do it and so thank you for making one of the best anime movies ever and my personal favourite movie.
