Character-focused analysis

This story has one of the most unintentionally funny MLs I've ever read. I love that his POV is also shown; he seems so cold and unapproachable that if I hadn't read his thoughts, I would've come to the exact same "stay away" conclusions as the FL. Usually, the "ice prince" trope feels a bit tired, but seeing his genuine confusion and awkwardness made him relatable and funny.
Speaking of, it's actually quite rare for me to like both MCs equally, but this story is the exception. Nivea is genuinely smart and cunning; she knows her goals and makes meticulous plans to achieve them.
It was also really funny how FL mimicked the ML perfectly during every soul swap, since she planned it, but he wasn't as good at the imitation and in the later swaps, caused so many hilarious misunderstandings
I don't really like those MLs who like the FL but don't do anything to show it, or worse, act like jerks to hide it. I really appreciated how Nivea didn’t tolerate that behavior from him. After she finally gives him a chance, their "teddy bear x fox" dynamic is established pretty well. I’d never heard of this dynamic before reading this, but it describes their relationship to a T (he’s this massive, formidable presence who is secretly, and later, openly soft for her, and she’s the clever strategist leading the way).
Also, the ML falls first and harder, which is one of my favorite tropes. There’s nothing more satisfying than seeing a powerful man completely lose his composure over a woman who knows her own worth.
The setup was executed really nicely, and the body-swap plot didn't feel like a cheap gimmick; it either moved the plot along when it was getting slow, or it was done in moments that changed the vibe from serious to comedic.
The dialogues followed naturally and the art is very good too.
If there's one thing I didn't like, it was the female sorcerer. Her role wasn't very big, and her motivations felt a bit thin. She was sent by the villains, and even though Nivea knew that, she still took massive risks to save her. It all turned out fine in the end, of course, but I wish the sorcerer was shown to be more proactive, especially considering her life was on the line and she was supposed to be ambitious.
I also felt bad for the SML. I didn't ship him with FL, but I didn't like his ending. On the same vein, I was totally in love with Nivea's assistant. A magician who’s a puppy yandere? Sign me up. I wouldn't have minded a "what-if" side story with him as the ML. Despite his intense feelings, he never tried to sabotage the main couple. His love was genuinely devotional, with no expectations, which was a refreshing change of pace
The animal ears and tail were a really cute addition (ML especially looked adorable, Why did they have to show him as the ultimate fox who acted like a bear just because he knew that was her type, I mean, usually I eat up twists like that gleefully, but in this, it felt out of context and didn't fit with the narrative, but since it was only given a few panels and never mentioned again, I'll pretend it didn't happen
