~~~Sousei no Onmyouji nos presenta la historia de Rokuro Enmadou un chico de 10 años con la capacidad de ser un poderoso exorcista, que siempre busca escaparse para cumplir... "Sus sueños". Pero todo cambia cuando un ida se encuentra con Benio Adashino, una Exorcista de la Isla Tsuchimikado y su nueva rival en su vida diaria, que salva en Magano con su poder, hasta que Arima el Exorcista Líder de la Isla, les declara que deberán casarse y dar a luz al Miko que terminara la guerra que llevan los Exorcistas en Magano contra los Kegare.

Con esta premisa nos presenta un dúo de Shonen y romance que avanza a trompicones con varios time skips para justificar cientos elementos de la historia, nos irán contando como se afianza la relaciona de Rokuro con Benio, pasando por múltiples problemas, desde la lucha contra los Basara, los villanos iniciales de la historia, Yuuto Ijika el principal villano de los primeros arcos, además de duros entrenamientos para alcanzar el objetivo principal de la trama, acabar con la guerra, ademas de tener que pasar por torneos teniendo que pelear contra rivales tremendamente poderosos con habilidades completamente fuertes y increibles

La verdad el inicio me fue bastante fácil de leer, pero a medida que iba leyendo se me iba haciendo cada vez mas difícil leer, salvo en algunos momentos importantes, el pathing entre arcos se me ha hecho algo tosco además de presentarte tantos saltos temporales, pero la diversidad de personajes, tan diferentes y llamativos ha ayudado bastante, con tanta diversidad de poderes presentados y una serie de villanos tan interesantes, tengo que decir que es la segunda obra de Yoshiaki Sukeno que leo, la primera fue Bimbougami Ga y que realmente tiene una originalidad al crear enemigos, poderes y similares, aunque parece que le gusta mucho tirar siempre de la idea de 2 universos existiendo y ser equilibrados con el Yin y el Yang, además de siempre introducir el horóscopo chino, ya sea como arma o como en Sousei no Onmyouji un grupo de familias.

La realidad lo que mejor tiene es crear personajes y la facilidad de encariñarte con algunos de ellos, ha conseguido hacer que me sienta en múltiples ocasiones, con ganas de llorar por algunos momentos emotivos de alegría y alguna muerte...no le cuesta nada matar personajes haciéndote conectar muchísimo con ellos, presentándote aunque sean breves la razón de como son y por que son así, el por que se motivan a ser Exorcistas y seguir luchando sacrificando la vida viendo como pueden perder todo en un momento.

Recomiendo muchísimo esta obra si sois fans del folklore japonés que gira alrededor de los Exorcistas, Abeno Seimei, el infierno, el Yin y el Yang y similares, ya que son cosas que se muestran múltiples veces además de dar un buen girito del origen de todo, siendo una idea realmente original la verdad.

Sousei no Onmyouji presents us with the story of Rokuro Enmadou, a 10-year-old boy with the potential to be a powerful exorcist, who constantly tries to escape to fulfill... “His dreams.” But everything changes one day when he meets Benio Adashino, an exorcist from the Tsuchimikado Island and his new rival in daily life, who saves him in Magano with her power, until Arima, the Head Exorcist of the Island, declares that they must marry and give birth to the Miko who will end the war between the exorcists in Magano and the Kegare.

With this premise, we're introduced to a shonen-romance duo that moves forward in fits and starts, with various time skips used to justify dozens of story elements. The series shows how the relationship between Rokuro and Benio strengthens, through multiple challenges—from battles against the Basara, the initial villains of the story, to Yuuto Ijika, the main antagonist of the early arcs, as well as harsh training to reach the main goal of ending the war. They also go through tournaments where they must fight incredibly strong rivals with unique and powerful abilities.

Honestly, the beginning was pretty easy to read for me, but as I kept going, it became increasingly hard to follow—except during some key moments. The pacing between arcs felt a bit clunky, with so many time skips, but the wide variety of characters, so different and captivating, really helped. With such a diverse range of powers and a series of fascinating villains, I have to say this is the second work by Yoshiaki Sukeno I’ve read—the first being Bimbougami Ga—and he truly shows originality when it comes to creating enemies, powers, and the like. Though it seems he really likes the theme of two coexisting universes needing balance via Yin and Yang, as well as always introducing the Chinese Zodiac—whether as a weapon or, like in Sousei no Onmyouji, as a group of families.

What this story does best is create characters and make it easy to grow attached to them. It made me feel deeply at multiple points—wanting to cry during emotional moments of joy or certain deaths... he has no problem killing off characters —really helping you connect with them. Even if briefly, it always gives you the reason behind who they are, why they act the way they do, and what drives them to become exorcists and keep fighting, sacrificing their lives knowing they could lose everything at any moment.

I highly recommend this series if you're a fan of Japanese folklore surrounding exorcists, Abeno Seimei, hell, Yin and Yang, and similar themes, since these appear multiple times and there's a great twist to the origin of it all—honestly, a truly original idea.
