Zero > UBW 2014 > HF [Deen optional]
Or
SN 2006 > UBW 2010 > Zero > UBW 2014 > HF
So, I'm planning on watching the Fate series, but the broadcasting date and the chronological date are different.
A little help?
(Edit: I asked this very unassuming question 10 YEARS AGO. Some of these people eat dirt for dinner, they don't know what they are talking about: Read the visual novel if you're interested, if not then UBW and Zero after.)
Zero > UBW 2014 > HF [Deen optional]
Or
SN 2006 > UBW 2010 > Zero > UBW 2014 > HF
Chronological order. So Fate/zero and then Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works (TV).

I've been looking for the fate series watch order and keep getting different answers... What's the correct order?
Just play the visual novel for real, it's fantastic and super worth it.
Just watch
Fate/zero
And than
Fate/stay night unlimited blade works

I'm so confused with the order of this show and i want to see it because it looks really interesting, but man, wtf with the order ot this series, can someone help me pls?
Fate/stay night (2006)
Fate/Zero
Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works]
Yeah, I'm going to follow order anime wise.
I'll play the VN first
Good choice
This guide should help you decide.
thanks.
Just don't even bother watching 2006.
If you're going to just watch the anime, you could watch Zero or UBW in either order although I'd recommend watching UBW first.
The best way to get into Fate is to read the VN first though.
But if you are a Saber fan instead of Rin, wouldn't it be better to watch the 2006 instead of UBW??
Deen's adaptation is mostly based on the Fate route, but they also tried to combine all three routes into one, which results in lots of spoilers, plots holes, and other things out of context. It's best to just avoid the show, or at least play the VN first.
Fate/Zero and then Fate UBW. I mean the 2006 one is the exact same story as UBW, but with worse animation and such.
It's not the exact same story
watching deen's fsn and then watching ubw would just confuse things since its the same timeline but the events are scrambled around. its more cohesive of a story just to watch Fate/Zero and then UBW
How can you have Archer as your avatar and say that the 2006 and UBW TV have the exact same story? You didn't even watch the first one, according to your anime list page.
I have watched the first 10 or so and didn't see much of a difference. It's not really necessary in my opinion to watch the 2006 version.
They diverge in the fight against Berserker. But it really is a different story all together. And yes, don't watch the 2006 version.
Play the Visual Novel, Or read this
I second this. Deen stay night will spoil some stuff in other routes because it mixed them. Plus it's utter shit.
I would go F/Zero then UBW like everyone is saying.
Fate/Zeo
Fate/Stay Night (2006) if you're a Saber Fan or Fate/Stay Night Unlimited Blade Work if you're a Rin
I Suggest watch both but is up to you
thanks for the advice
The order that I watched it in which is Fate stay Night then fate zero and then FSN unlimited bladeworks... cause personally I liked them all, don't really know why fate stay night series gets so much hate its pretty good imo. I''m guessing everyone just compares it to fate zero which was an amazing series.
I'm doing fate/zero into UBW then coming back for f/sn. I mean it's worked out so far. I watched a bit of f/sn first and I enjoyed going the way I did more than going through f/sn first.
If you have the time you should also need to play the VN's, first watch Zero and then play the VN with all of it's routes, you're gonna find many interesting things that the anime adaptations didn't showed as well as more lore and character background if you're interested.
Yeah I'm gonna play the VN-

There isn’t really a single, truly correct order to watch them
-----Main story-----:
-----Fate/Zero - Ufotable version (It’s a prequel, so it takes place first chronologically.)
-----Fate/stay night Unlimited Blade Works - TV episodes (It’s a direct sequel to Fate/Zero. Make sure you watch the Ufotable version.)
-----Fate/stay night Heaven’s Feel - 3 movies (The story starts out the same as Unlimited Blade Works, but the stories diverge into alternate routes.
-----Fate / strange Fake 2023
-----Alternate Seasons-----:
-----Fate/stay night 2006 (It’s another alternate story route. I consider this optional.)
-----Emiya-san Chi no Kyou no Gohan (A spin-off featuring the characters of the previously mentioned shows. It is disconnected from the main stories, but I recommend watching it after the others, since it contains some spoilers.)
-----Fate/Apocrypha (It’s a spin-off that is entirely disconnected from the other Fate stories. You can watch it anytime you like)
-----Fate/kaleid liner Prisma☆Illya (It’s another spin-off anime. It has nothing to do with the other anime, so you can watch it anytime.)
-----Fate/Extra Last Encore (This anime won’t make any sense unless you play the game Fate/Extra first.)
-----Fate/Grand Order - First : First Order (This is the start of the anime adaptation of the Fate/Grand Order video game)
-------Fate/Grand Order- second : Shinsei Entaku Ryouiki Camelot
-------Fate/Grand Order - third : Zettai Majuu Sensen Babylonia - Initium Iter
-------Fate/Grand Order - forth : Zettai Majuu Sensen Babylonia
-------Fate/Grand Order- fifth : Shuukyoku Tokuiten - Kani Jikan Shinden Solomon. Unfortunately, not every chapter of Grand Order is getting an adaption, so if you want to see the full story, you must play the game. The anime is fairly easy to understand without all the chapters, though.)
Please not this again
can you explain this in minecraft terms
Okay, so. you start with The Overworld, then once you get to the Obsidian Arc you watch The Nether, once you finish the Fortress Arc you continue The Overworld all the way until the end of the Stronghold Arc, and then you can finally watch the last season, The End

Need some recommendations on what order to watch the fate series. Planning on watching it and I can't seem to find an order to watch it.
Here you go :) Watch on YouTube
I see you're a man of Gigguk myself
If you're not going to read the VN, I would flip a coin to choose between Unlimited Blade Works (TV) or Zero. Or you could just give up and watch Kara no Kyoukai instead.
Assuming you're not starting with the VN (which despite the comedic premise, the video does actually state you should), Zero and UBW don't differ in terms of quality?
In the bigger picture, no. People tend to prefer one over the other but there's no crystal ball to tell which it will be.
Pretty much the best "long answer"
The shortest answer you can get is simply "go for Visual novel"
Because if you watch UBW and fate zero (which is pretty much the best 2 anime related fate-verse) it means you have time to finish at least one and a half route on visual novel which is pretty much enough for you to invested by it.
that's the best answer i can give anyone since the other comments pretty much cover everything else
