I didn't get the slideshow feeling but I do feel like they did do a lot more close-up shots of people's faces, which probably gave it that feeling of being slideshowish because they were showing up close up to the spaces a lot more. I do think it'll be fine
This episode made me tear up quite a bit in the first part. Seeing Nona cry and worry about Vicky, I was not prepared to cry today. Though it is very, very cute, Nona is so cute and shes a ray of sunshine in this anime, especially since she has that tomboyish but still cute kind of vibe to her. Even her voice is cute. The voice actor Is doing an amazing job with Nona.
Seeing Nona be so cute hits harder when she cries to me because she's normally, I guess, more mature with how she acts. She wasn't able to have that childhood and she's just now able to have a childhood. She's starting to show emotion a lot more and it hits way harder for me when she's sad.
It's also amazing seeing Vicky talk about how if she has to run and leave the country she is going to take Nona. Granted that was a given but to see that be reaffirmed and said out loud or thought out loud by Vicky is absolutely perfect. It really shows that Nona has really made an impact on Vicky's life and that adds to the emotional weight of things.
Also seeing Nona flip around like that, I was a little scared when she was climbing that wall. I was terrified honestly. I was like, "Please don't fall." Seeing her flip around and being quite athletic, it's impressive. I guess she's already picking up some of the agent tendencies that Vicky had back when Vicky was an agent. It is nice to see that Nona would be able to defend herself. Hopefully we don't have to worry about anyone trying to do anything to our sweet Nona. If they do try something, I want Nona to get away and I want Vicky to make sure that that person can't do anything to anyone else.
Also the whole scene at the very end talking about the Noble. I forgot what there exact rank was but it makes so much sense that the girl's brother, who was violated by that Noble, would want to kill that Noble. Essentially when his sister was just about to get married, for that Noble to hear about that and then say, "Oh let me get a piece before you get married," essentially, and violate her is the scummiest thing I've ever seen. Well I've seen a lot more scummy things but it's still scummy. I feel that the Noble should get in way more trouble but as it is noble lives are valued more than commoner lives sadly
