But man, you have to feel bad for Jeffrey. In war he lost his brother in law, which crushed his wife so much that she killed herself. I mean, this after losing your parents is crushing. With Jeffrey admitting he never noticed how much she was struggling, it just kind of points to the fact that even though they were engaged, they weren't as close as you would think, perhaps.
The curious dynamic between Jeffery and Vicky is that we have one whose confidence in becoming someone people can rely on has fallen. While Vicky can't really depend on anyone. Very curious how these two will develop as this series continues.
Vicke's "Spy Sense" must really start going off next episode because no way she can be this close to someone that connected to royalty and NOT have someone look into her background.
Sure her cover is she's from two countries over and is only from some minor house that's gone now, but still people will go poking which will cause people to become aware of "someone."
So yeah, we've got a story for the season. :D
Honestly, that VHS-style rewind effect towards the end was the most interesting thing this show has done so far imo; it's been entirely predictable, shallow, and boring... Doubtful at this point that I'll even be able to stay awake through the next episode, so dropping it here.
