That animation is really something different.
But I dont complain, I actually like it.
Same as with Hand Shakers years ago.
Its refreshing.
What was the narrative purpose of the 2 minute sequence of fights AFTER the opening? I'm assume for Go Hands to "flex" their animation. It was certainly EYE-CATCHING.
Art directors need to learn that these types of weird angles and very dynamic shots works wonders if used in moderation, but you have to give the audience time to breathe, everything has to be in moderation.
That's why K was a masterpiece and everything else they made after that is a flop.
holy overrendering
As basically every GoHands project before: This gave me a headache
But I like the manga, so I hope they adopt it well and GoHands-stuff aside the first episode was decent enough
GoHands gonna GoHands. Just throw the camera across a 3d scene and then slap some 2d characters on top of it and call it "cinematic". Also make sure all clothes and hair behave as if everyone is standing in a hurricane at all times
it's just too much man, speedrunning so hard they even had to show off later fights in the first 5 minutes without context cause why not
then the camera shifting like they're in a bollywood movie lol
and that they decided to sometimes animate every god damn strand of hair is so irritating
I say this from the heart: GoHands could have a brilliant future if they’d just stop flexing at full power with zillions of animated hair strands, characters that look almost detached from the rest of the rendering, and a camera that flies and spins in every direction even dipping below ground level. Their quality is undeniably high, and damn, do they push it to the max, turning the whole thing into something almost abstract to watch; but that’s GoHands for you, we love them anyway.
As for the story... well, that OP ability right from level one seems a bit much. Is it really possible that no one who ended up with this class ever noticed it? At level one? Not even through a combination of skills or something else? We're off to a rocky start.
Have you ever seen an isekai like this where the people of the world are smart? and the people who get that class are shunned, and so is the skill, so most heavy knights would probably just quit, or never use that skill since its not a game to them, and they want to be in a party because thats the best thing for people to do in these types of anime or whatever, but no one would use a skill that's THAT bummed on especially for a class that is also just rejected as the worst.
It really pains me off that something with really nice character designs (especially the jester girl) has to be made by GoHands
"Everyone stand on this side of the room if you think he should be exiled" type situation
wtf lmao
Normally I'm not a big fan of this overly detailed type of animation but it matches the style of the manga very well, so it gets a pass from me.
Not sure about the pacing and directing, though. We are jumping back and forth in the story, and we even get a random fighting montage.
Buddy i got Motion sickness, but the animators has no fault, it's completly on the Director / storyboard artist
Having tried the manga of this recently and only been able to survive about 50 chapters, having GoHands in charge is probably about the best thing that could happen to this series. The story is a repeat of the same exact thing with minor variations, so having something interesting going on from the visual side means the action should be fun to watch, at least.
ED is pretty fun. I love Reona, but it's probably one of my least favorite of her songs. It may grow on me though.
Great way to ruin a good story...
The worst first episode i've ever seen, i got motion sickness wtf is this shit?
i would like the style of the animemation, but in my opinion this CGI slob hits pretty bad
i think they are using alot of frames
but they are exaggerating no?
i am not against. But too much
It'd have been a good animation if they stop animating every hair strand, and those camera drone type shots are a bit too much, too long, if this keeps up I wonder how much of the manga will the anime cover, I've read the manga, it's good, it's a bit too dramatic here though, if it's too much in future episodes I'll just continue with the manga.
I can't tell if the animation is amazing or disgusting.
On one hand, it's beautiful, but at the same time, it's so excessive to be annoying.
I love how dramatic everything is. Aside from the camera angles, the sound design stands out a lot too. I didn't like the art style at first but it grew on me quickly. It matches the overall vibe.
Neat show, my first GoHands show oh boy I wasn't ready. However, liking it so far, tho lil annoyed he had a sudden realisation he was reincarnated. Would have been cool if he just weirdly had a good sense for things and that reincarnation was implied. Aw well, looking forward to more.
Vertigo the anime. It's like putting in effort for the sake of it. It has no purpose. Useless camera rotations couldn't even understand what was happening half the opening action visuals.
I can already picture post offices, restaurants, farm fields, and civil servants swarming with Level 1 Heavy Knights.
Anyway, I was talking strictly about the gameplay—it's hard to design a game where you're already that OP at level 1, right from the day-one patch.
The skill was implied to be timing-based. So it's possible our MC's previous life meant he has a grasp of parry mechanics.
And learning parry timings against all monsters "in the real world" would be pretty dangerous, if not fatal.
Oooh ok, i think i missed it
Can it even be called flexing if the end result is undesired by many if not most?
They are too far ahead of their time for us; these works will be re-evaluated in 100, 200, 1,000, or 100,000 years.
