Nice backstory of Nikaido, Yakumo, and especially Asu (Kawajiri). Nikaido felt like Matilda as a child. Cute, but smart as well. Minus having parents.
So that's where Nikaido's love for gyoza came from.
Looks like the cat's out the bag. Wonder if En will remember at happened that quickly. I'm assuming that the spell disappeared bc Kawajiri lost his devil powers.
Looks like Ebisu is really going home.

Can't tell if the Cross-Eyes group is smart or just dumb.
I think it realistically portrays most "gangs" and fraternities. It's a group of disenfranchised or weak people who seek some kind of strength in numbers; especially in a world where heavy classism exists due to magic. With the Cross-Eyes, all the members have either no magic skills, pathetically low-tier magic, or a weak personality for how dangerous The Hole and the Sorcerer's World are. Every one of them gravitated to an actual strong "leader" in order to feel powerful themselves.
However, when that leader goes missing the whole group falls apart and reveals how weak they really are without a strong or intelligent person calling the shots.
