They said the pacing was gonna be exactly 1 chapter per episode. The animation was very smooth, I hope this will be every episode since One Piece is seasonal now.

Yes around 24-26 episodes a year in One Piece's case.
The pacing was not better but the way they used filler and padding was. No more super dragged out moments but instead fresh new ones that you can argue actually add to the story. I am not very happy that with this fresh start of a new arc we really couldn't go 10 minutes without adding in a filler sanji pervert gag. Him imagining giant women was not in the manga and not a good addition.

As a non-manga reader, the speed was very good. Not too fast to feel rushed, and not too slow to feel like they’re dragging things out. It was a nice “hey, we’re back, here’s the crew again after some time (show silly scenes), and this will happen.”
Pretty sure there's no difference. 1 ch for 1 ep. Only adapted ch 1126 today.

50 chapters a year isn't possible for One Piece. Maybe 38-42.

The goal for that was to not go too fast and reach the last manga chapter, Whole Cake Island is a good example of why you don’t want the manga and the anime to be at the same point (abysmal pacing). 1y behind means it can compensate some misfortune and pauses and still be behind, allowing the pacing to be good.
As many others have said, we are getting 26 episodes. So 26 chapters should be adapted.

Beyond that, this episode pacing was good and animation was definitely improved.
Animation looked great and I loved how it connects pretty well coincidentally with the second season of the live action series.
Also, can manga readers who complain about what the anime is doing just go like... back to reading manga and comment on manga forums instead of commenting here? It's not great as an anime viewer to constantly hear it being compared with the manga to be honest. That's like going to every movie and having that friend that keeps saying the book was better. You're just ruining the bliss we're having
