Agreed, the story should have been a bit longer, still peak fiction tho
The God of Time ended today and boy oh boy do I have thoughts. I know it was intended by the author to be a short story (or at least that's what I heard) but I cant help but think that it could have been more. I liked what I got but everything felt so lackluster, especially after the first chapters excitement. The latter chapters were so time-skippy (not in the fun way) and rushed it felt like the emotional climax was pretty weak.
The first three chapters and the rush to Hokkaido was so captivating. All the characters were set up to go down interesting paths in their character arcs and I was especially interested to see what would happen with Yuki. She had such interesting underlying motivations and seeing which would win out I was expecting to get to see unravel more. Also the detective seemed like he would slowly warm up to them and I was gearing up for a charming ride. Then it was just, over.
I am _not_ saying this should have gone on for 100 chapters but even like 10 or 15 more to smooth out the pacing in the latter half and flesh out the characters a bit more would have made this manga way more interesting to me.
Am I alone on this? I'd love to be proven wrong, but as it stands I'm pretty disappointed in this one. Looking forward to their next work still though! I cannot get enough of their art style.

wait, did it get axed or what happened? i had in on paused for a while
My understanding is that the author just wanted to write a shorter manga
