Spoiler: I thought Shiroha was just your typical tsundere which she is but but her ability adds spice. That cliff hanger caused a coma, when the old man said prove yourself, i instantly thought, hmm fight scene?
Oh no. We are finally here at the true story after 15 episodes later.~~
~~
Love how Shiki made a small appearance. Kinda sad that the chances to see all the Reflection Blue routes in Summer Pockets anime is too low.
~~
Hope they end this route better than previous routes~~

Alright, now that the problem in her route is out in the open, we’re heading into the festival arc. I have so many things I want to say about this episode, but I’ll try to keep it short.
I was actually surprised that the episode started with her cooking for Umi and Hairi. Then, Tenzen’s table tennis paddle broke, not too surprising, considering how obsessed he is with it. They went to help him buy a new one, but the son of the sports shop owner refused to take their money because the Naruse family was involved.
For the first time, we also see Shiroha and Hairi leaving the island together. They even stop to eat crepes, which was a nice moment. And lastly, we’ll definitely see what I meant by “Champion with the Broken Fist” in the next episode. So stay tuned, because things are about to get fascinating… at least, if they’re following the original visual novel. I’m not sure if the next one will be the last episode of her route, but we’ll find out soon.
Oh, and I almost forgot to mention, they showed a bit of Kiyotaka Ayanokoji side of Hairi in this episode, lol.
~Kamome Route -> Tsumugi Route -> Ao Route -> Shiroha Route -> A Route -> P Route ~

A really conflicting adaptation of Shiroha route to me. On one hand, when they clearly put heart into specific scenes, those scenes have been adapted rather well. On the other hand, they're speedrunning and skipping over more than any other route has so far, and it makes it hard to truly love the way they're doing the route
I'm thinking since this is the main route the arc would run a lot more than 3 or 4 episodes like the previous routes. Much like how Maeda usually plans his stories, this would tie in with his previous shows "route selection" logic - explore the lesser character relationships, develop it as a "what if" scenario and introduce the lore and characters, reset, rinse, repeat.
I am not a fan of this type of storytelling as it is fraught with continuity issues and can leave a conflicted feeling for the finale which tends to fizzle out. As anime-only I think in this arc we still have 10 more episodes for the story to develop around Shiroha and Hairi with a tragic end and a backtrack of the route to get a positive ending. That's my prediction anyway.
It's already confirmed that this route is only going to be 3 episodes long through leaks unfortunately. I imagine they're going to edit some things to make it tie in to the next arc since they are directly related, but as for just Shiroha route, we only got 1 more episode left
Also, just to clear up this extremely common misunderstanding, Summer Pockets is not a Maeda work in any way, shape, or form. He was not on the scenario staff for the game at all, and a vague "original plan" credit attributed to him and a couple OST tracks are the extent of his involvement on the game. I get people love to attribute everything under the Key label to Maeda, but outside of Angel Beats's visual novel adaptation, he hasn't been a scenario writer for any of their visual novels since Little Busters.
Thanks for that, there are several other discussions about Maeda closing his Twitter amidst some controversy and that this was his return.
Shiroha is a sweetheart, felt warm at heart for most of the ep. We also get both Hairi aaand Shiroha lore, though i'm not sure what exactly got him in trouble with police(loitering Imao? Seemed more like drinking or something.
