That was a great episode. I guess umi only appears on summer so see ya next year, and kamome still in a coma but the butterflies are replacing her I suppose.

I think this was one of the best ep #6 I've ever seen. Plot twist, drama, kiss scene and another plot twist, it was all there. I'm not going to lie, I cried towards the end of the ep and for a second I actually thought it was the last episode, I had to check on the website...

You mean umi chan? If I am sure in VN, She came to the past to prevent shiroha or her mother's death. Since this summer ends, if I am sure, next episode a new summer timeline restarts again focusing on a new girl

Alright, so we are at the end of Kushima Kamome route, I can honestly say that in my opinion, they handle it with care and add something that still faithful to the original source, and make my eyes feel wet again after all these years.

You guys that didn't play the game must have some question regarding Umi right now, all I can say is that you have to wait to find the answer for that, it's very crucial part of Summer Pockets story.

Now, my guess for the next route is the girl that said many "Mugyu" word, or Tsumugi the Lighthouse Girl, and we will also see someone else that related to her.

Regarding how the story of this anime will progress after the end of Kamome route, Summer Pockets is using the Omnibus Format like how Amagami SS anime works.

Edit: I also will say that the butterflies we seen on many episodes will be get answer along the way too.

I had a feeling it's going to be a omnibus, I'm guessing the kid is some sort of a observer and she's simply moving onto another route.

would've hoped that they kept Kamome disappearing in ep5, that would've been really interesting. Also the pacing of this ep is so fast lol, probably needed a bit more time .

I struggle to put into words how frustrated I am from this episode man. Idk how people who haven't read the vn feel about it so far, but so far it's butchering the story through both rushing it to hell (the pacing of this episode was HORRIBLE. I couldn't even get immersed in it because of how much it was jumping around) and revealing way too much about the main mystery way too early on. I had really high hopes for this anime but so far I'm just left with frustration and disappointment. Hopefully it can turn things around but I'm no longer very hopeful about the odds of that happening

I didnt play the game, I watched on 2x speed, I was completely immersed and balling my eyes out. I also have no idea what mystery youre talking about being revealed so you really seem full of doodoo

same here, i'm too confused to feel sad, but if i'm getting this right Kamome isn't dead just in a coma right? are the butterflies replacing her or acting as some sort of vessel for her consciousness so she can live out her dreams? if she went into a coma right before summer then maybe the butterflies manifesting at the island took her consciousness from her body and astral projects her there as a sort of ghost causing her coma?

I don't know how to feel about this. It was really rushed, and Kamome not being there kinda... comes out of nowhere? Like, if she was just visiting Hairi to have her one adventure and only he saw her, then fine... but others saw her too, right? So she was appearing, so... I dunno, there weren't really any hints to her being a ghost? Yet at the end, it seems like only Hairi can see her since no one else reacts? But why him? He has no connection to the real Kamome, so why'd she pick him of all people to appear to anyway?

I just feel like the execution left a lot to be desired. I like the core premise, really cool idea with Kamome using a self-insert in a children's book to have her summer time adventures, but it feels like they could've foreshadowed it more than just last episode and here, and connected Hairi to either the real Kamome or the book more.

Show with Kamome’s story was trying to remind me of my PTSD with best girl from Kanon.

Not really any feels though. Could be due to pacing. Also might be that while there is a little overlap, but the situations are still rather different. I liked it, but maybe having seen this essentially in two other stories from Key at this point, less impact.

What happened with Umi has me curious now.

You wish there were more anime that did Omnibus Format (if I understand correctly that's showing off several routes of a visual novel?)

Yeah, sorry if my English is not really understandable because it's my third language
So, I seem didn't really understand if you wish that I must answer 1 and 2, or I just have to answer 1 question, but I'll answer the second question, what I mean by that is yes, showing all or most of the routes of the character like how you play visual novel, most anime adapted from visual novel are mostly using one route while they cramped other routes into that one route, but that kinda feel forced, doesn't it? And of course, the main heroine ending is what we got and not the others.
Not that I blame the production, but I do really wish we can see other stories for other heroines, their portion of the stories, so I wish other anime will be doing Omnibus Format, like how we see it on Amagami, Seiren, Photokano, Memories Off, and of course Summer Pockets.

Yes, that included Kamome, Tsumugi, Ao, and Shiroha.
Also, the remaining episodes after that will be "something route" and "something route" I can't write it here, because it will be too much spoiler, even for writing the names, that will make people search for it lol.
I don't know if they will include the routes from Reflection Blue, tho.
2 first episode for introductions/prologue, and then 3–6 episodes for Kamome route, probably other girls will also have 4 episodes per route, and then, that 2 something routes will be kind of epilogue.

I enjoyed it overall, but I do have a few questions. Like, was Kamome really invisible to everyone except the MC? then why was she visible to others in early episodes. Did he really have no connection to her besides sending the letter and coincidentally (I guess?) arriving at the Island after 10 years?
I'd be happy if you could answer it...unless I'm not supposed to know yet?

Nah kamome was not invisible. The anime cut basically all of it out so its understandable but in the VN she had many more interactions with the rest of the cast. She only became invisible after they found the pirate ship at which point she only appeared very periodically. And yeah what you said is more or less their connection, the whole childhood friends thing was an intentional fakeout that they played into WAY more in the anime than in the vn. In the original story they still had that same fakeout obviously but they didn't make it nearly as front and center, it was more just like a passing line here and there and a couple cgs during the adventure

VN readers can't enjoy shit damn. Summer pockets is one of my fav VNs, im always very critical with VN adaptations but this is actually a really good one so far damn. You really cant expect an anime to be 1:1 from a VN. THe only part I agree on is the "main mystery"
