I'm gonna wait 10 more chapters before dropping this, if it weren't Akasaka I'd have dropped it after chapter 1.

Genuinely feels like this has no direction, a really rushed pacing and on the nose, edgy shock value for the sake of nothing.

You can maybe argue this is to show that "the world sucks" but there's dozens of better ways to go on about it, and it's honestly inconsistent because the knights seemingly care for their citizens even in situations where there's no need to play pretend.

Also absolutely zero subtlety with these cliff hangers.

From what someone said in previous discussion thread it suppose to be like 17 or so chapters long, so waiting 10 to see if its ok make no sens imo. And if so it also explains rushed pacing.
Im for now still interested whats going on (like overall in case of world building), but at the same time I dont particularly like whats happening. For example was prince behaviour really necessary for story. Cuz if it's just for what you said, showing that world sucks, it was cheep. Knights behavior also contrasts strongly with the rest of the world, it seems kind of exaggerated, just like the other aspects, which a little makes the whole thing come off as a comedy rather than a tension-building horror.
