Ichimaru Gin ( the heart of a monster ) Bleach character Discussion

Ichimaru Gin is one of the best and most unique and interesting characters in Bleach. Now that is saying something right there. Gin is not some sort of hero , he was a very evil and terrible man who just happened to have the same goal as the heroes. He tried to kill Aizen and get revenge for Rangiku but when we see him torment Rukia , try to kill Hinamori , nearly cut Hiyori in half and just be an overall c.u.n.t we see the brilliant characterization of a psychopath with a glimmer of good in his heart. He loved Rangiku with all his soul but that was it , that was his one saving grace and the only good in him. The idea that such a rotten person can have that glimmer of good in them is very beautiful yet also sickening and bittersweet. Gin happens to be one of the most brilliantly written characters in Bleach. Many people seem to completely misunderstand the true brilliance of this character and mistakenly believe he is just some good guy and did it for the cause. Yet that couldn't be further from the truth. We see that what Gin did he did simply for Rangiku and he just wanted Aizen stopped and killed. We see him relish in the torture and despair of others which is something we also see in Aizen who looked down on everyone and wanted an equal but threw away everyone and caused suffering in his selfish and cruel quest to replace the soul king. Simply for example there is no way the bridge scene with Rukia can even possibly be anything other than exactly what it appears to be and there is no way it furthers his " loyalty " to Aizen or convinces anyone of him being a traitor when only Rukia would know and she was sentenced to death.
