Really glad we got a downtime episode with all talking after all the action we got this season it was a really good way to unwind after all those intense battles throughout this action packed season
Man I hope this next battle next season will be all political talking stuff because I think we need a break from the action that happened this season

Anilist threads have a hate boner for Slime. Elsewhere, it's no where near this level
sorry to say friend but I meant I think it should be lower if you look at my rating. I enjoyed the second part of the season but don't think it was amazing.
Way too much action. I thought this anime was all about world building and politics but they just had to make this just another generic isekai with all those fight scenes. Hopefully the next season will be more chill so that i can watch and slee- i mean enjoy because we really need a break from all that action.
Got to be a sarcastic troll comment or something...the first two seasons were a far better mix of the two, highlighting the dirty-hand required for nation building.
Now we're in 100% blabber about plans that they just go on to do with minimal backlash...and people are having problems with the backlash? They'd be horrible nation builders if they think they can talk their way out of discrimination to build a co-racial country...sometimes you have to kill to be taken seriously.
No I'm absolutely totally 100% as serious as this anime is. They should give us more meeting room episodes. I had the best slee- I mean the best time of my life during those episodes and I would love more of that in season 4. Nobody wants action from slime as seen in Season 2, which people absolutely did not like when Rimuru went off killing the humans. The anime did an amazing job in getting people to enjoy the show with less action and more meetings. It's such good worldbuilding, unlike season 1 where they showed us how Rimuru was going around and developing things. We definitely don't want any more of that clearly. We prefer to have them yap about the worldbuilding. Clearly that's why the season is rated high because of that and so if you disagree you're wrong.
There weren't enough long table conferences and political yapping, could've used abit more of those to help with the fast paced shit that was going down this season.
Prolly needed a few more episodes of people just sitting around a table and going on and on about their political agendas and what not, felt like we might've been lacking in that department.
It's like you wrote this comment specifically for me to pick up the show again. Those boring talking at tables and nothing happening episodes are exactly why I dropped the last season.

That there has to be someone out there with an army of bot accounts rating this a 9 or 10 to counteract all of the real ratings, because there's no way this thing should be sitting on a 78% right now. Truly one of the worst seasons of anime I have ever sat through. Someone come wake me up when Zegion appears.

I like the characters enough to keep watching even with the entire season being one long, long meeting.
This show has broken me.
I overall really enjoyed it. Unironically I wish the last epsidoe had been a lit longer and gone into more details around the eastern merchants, and mroe details about the plans for the magitrains. The yapping was honestly a big highlight for me this season, really hopping season 4 is announced and it follows the same vibe as season 3.
Arc 1 was phenomenal. Good balance of political meetings that were extra enjoyable as they were dealing with active threats and good balance of satisfying action scenes. Love how Hinata and Rimuru are not on the middle ground of friend or foe but have allied completely - it feels right to me.
Arc 2, I understand is supposed to be more laid back but let me down. The build-up yapping to it was fine, less enjoyable than the dialogue in arc 1 but it was fine as its a wind down arc. We had banquets, building of the dungeon, all fine so far.
The tournament episode and labyrinth teaser turned this season into a joke. After chilling for enough episodes, I was expecting a bit of meat in this tournament. Strong foes from other nations to fight, make a good tournament and have a good final. Instead, we got masayuki glazing, 50% forfetied fights and gobta contending for the elite four level. I don't understand how the other rulers and crowd enjoyed a tournament like that.
The Labyrinth teaser episode could have featured at least 1, just at least 1, strong party who would reach a floor where they have a good fight against a boss. I don't mind eren being there cruising through because of ramiris - it was funny. I also don't mind the cocky bastard who broke the rules because we got to see the demonstration of the dryads punishment. But at least 1 formidable party from another nation who gets a good fight with a boss? No, sadly nothing but the joke masayuki. There were other situations where rimuru could have verified his hero ability, it didnt need to ruin the arc here.
Conclusion to the arc was fine and good, the political talks in general are becoming more enjoyable to me. And i'm all for it - but to build a colosseum on that scale, invite all those other nations and host a tournament, and then deliver those humiliating episodes, it may as well not have happened due to the ruined expectation.

This season had some highs and some real deep lows. There's an entire chunk in the middle that would be insufferable on rewatch.
I think I might stick with the manga instead for a while with Slime, it seems to have revised some of the plot points so that they make more sense and the panels are more appealing while going through the board room meetings.
Looks like a lot of ppl are still riding the highs of last season because this one was a literal snooze fest. It’s a crime this is still this highly rated. I feel like I just watched an advertisement for something I’m just not interested in and I’m saying this as an Isekai fan.

Jokes aside, I liked some episodes. I just think if they're gonna focus on world building, it'd be better if they actually go around and show us all the development.... rather than from a meeting room.

I don't even mind a lot of yapping if the conversation is interesting. I really enjoyed Katanagatari for example which mostly consists of 45min episodes where people are talking. This slime season on the other hand... maaaan so many conversations felt like watching children running in circles.
80% of the conversations could've been shortened by half and nothing would've been lost. Could've even cut them by 1/4th and it still would've been coherent enough and made the experience better.
I do agree with the tournament part , while I think it was fine but the tournament in the WN was far better , as for dungeon we gonna see better fights later on in it

I mean we have only seen the introduction , in the WN it plays major part , I still haven't read LN but I think it will have a big role
Excited to not be disappointed by it again when the anime gets back to it
