it is annoying until you realize this how it looks to others when you have a persuasion build in an RPG. reminds me of this https://youtu.be/7e7NQNXjLW0?t=256
Gonna be honest, this Hero's ability got somewhat on my nerves. He was handed his victory.
We also saw Raphael wanting to pipe up, but seems she didn't want to, after all. Might be because of the ability, but maybe she reconsidered it. Either way, I hope she gets to say what she wants to say.

the lack of rules in this contest is kind of annoying. everyone just handing over their matches without consequence isn't a fun watch tbh
What a boring episode. If the next one is not straight fire then this season is totally lost.
After a long build up to this festival - i was hoping for an actual tournament arc with strong contenders from the other nations and instead got this joke. Gobta getting criticised for not fighting properly while strategising but the hero is getting glazed by forfeit matches. Dumb ability doesnt make this enjoyable at all. Hope there is some real action left in the season
I don't mind all the slice of life content of this season but man we really needed some good fights in this arc..
I was excited to see the fights but all of them were kinda meh or just one of them withdrawal for some reason.
The annoying thing is we already know that the hero hates his ability then why is he using it in the second fight? couldn't he just fight and win fairly?
Can he even turn it off?
I think he can't, but at least use the sword and start a fight this is what i meant. What he did is took the mic and started yapping.
This is probably the worst tournament I've ever watched... skipped prelims, instant forfeit, 30 second fight, cannon fodder that should've lost in prelims, the only okay fight carrion vs geld, instant forfeit, gobta cheating... I know slime isekai isn't a battle show but just don't bother building up and doing a tournament if this is what you're going to give us.
The last battle is going to be lacking now too which will surely take a whole episode to go through with gobta vs the hero...
It's not meant to be like the tournaments in shounen anyways lmfao... So this comment ain't even valid
“it’s meant to be shitty so it’s actually good”
Episode was disappointing, was Geld and Gobta really in contention for 4th strongest? and then in the fights Geld does absolutely nothing and Gobta wins by summoning Ragna in both fights not even his own Direwolf. Just makes Tempest look bad.
It was a good idea to exclude all the overpowered characters to give the others a place to shine but the show totally mangles it. There were plenty of people that were the appropriate level that could have been featured but instead the balance is all over the place.
People that could have been here would be like the guys that were (I think) the sons of Carrion, the bird chick that is betrothed to Benimaru, Rimuru's troop commanders, some crusader maybe, Soei's trainees, maybe even Gabiru or the white tiger chick from Yurazania. Instead we get the animal guys beefing which I personally did not care about at all, extremely overpowered Carrion and then Masayuki's ally. Who the hell is the redhead?
There should have been like twice as many people as there were. You build a damn coloseum and you put 8 guys in it? Each of the fights also lasts like 30 seconds and are honestly pretty lame
Dishonorable mentions: Gobta cheating, Carrion gtfo-ing, Geld not fighting properly.
This season is so all over the place. I feel like some episodes are great and some downright watching paint dry level.
Half of the season is setup for next season and the other half is slice of life fluff zz
Eight episodes for the table arc, two episodes for the tournament arc.
Perfectly balanced as all things should be.
Table arc lol
