Yeah, it's a pity that it doesn't really tackle either Deku's history as a hero proper, any relationships other than professional or any major changes that actually led to villainy on the decline like that. Enjoyed the overall ride though.

  Someonen3w (The original commentator) uploaded a photo of Deku walking to McDonald's, implying it was from a manga panel. Now it has been removed. I'm several chapters from the end and have always been somewhat disappointed with MHA's plot progression. Seeing that image was frustrating, as it made me worry about the direction the story might be taking, which is why I commented.

Its actually crazy how despite everything Deku did during the war he's probably not gonna be remembered or recognized for it at all by the public. while also ending up with a shitty job, and all his friends leaving him. Like honestly he might genuinely have the worst conclusion out of any shonen protagonist lmao.

Probably the worst ending I've ever seen, they made All Mights battle suit in what, like 2 months? But it takes them 8 years to get Deku anything????? Bro became the greatest hero in the world but decides to not even attempt to be a quirkless hero after loosing OFA? Just fades into meaningless as a teacher??? Wtf is this character assassination.

I'd have a problem if it wasn't the last few panels when he gets a suit.

But the guy gets to help others by sharing knowledge while being paid very well at top school and now by being a hero seems like the most realistic way for it to end for him

Feels like this meme of him being broke is gonna turn into an actual complaint at this point like the talk no jutsu
Don't have an issue with that part of the ending

Oh and also to add to that one of the major themes of the story is that a hero isnt just someone who saves lives. Helping children grow, sharing knowledge and doing day to day things is part of it. And that's exactly what deku is embodying in this chapter

I've got plenty of issues with the 2nd of this series since I dropped it a while back but this doesn't feel like an issue but more like it's something that people wanted have happen differently.

Personally don't really have any immediate issues with this chapter it's stuff prior to this that I've got major issues with.

Ok the one issue I have is it taking 8 years to get him a suit that just doesn't seem believable after iron might and I don't like how it's precisely said bakugo financed it. He's on film saving the world how could Japan or even the world not push to get him a suit lol

I think the ending is good and satisfactory. Deku became a hero as he promised.

I think I understand why a lot of people feel that it's a bad ending, but aren't really able to put into words.

From the beginning we were told that Deku was the most powerful hero who was going to change the status quo.
The last chapter indicates that this wasn't the case at all and that he actually fails miserably in so far as;

There's still villains and while we aren't seeing as many new powerful villains pop up they're still there.
If heros like Bakugo and company are required to fight them it also means that the villains that still exist are strong.
This is just Japan we're talking about as well, who knows what things are like globally.

Furthermore while it's briefly hinted at with regards to the new character introduced the Quirk Singularity which was positioned as being an incredibly importnat aspect of the future of quirks never really manifests itself in the way things play out.

Maybe it might in the sequel series if we get one? who knows but I think a lot of people would agree that the ending we've gotten doesn't really wrap things up but rather leaves a lot of unanswered questions.

I think though that this is condusive to a MUCH BIGGER issue in the industry and I've noticed it especially recently with a few manga that I really like in so far that I think it's becoming more and more obvious that a lot of mangaka DO NOT have control over their IP's as much as we like to think they do. I don't think this was the ending Horikoshi wanted, but rather the one that his editor/editing company wanted.

The manga only ever said "this is the story of how I became a great hero" never "the most powerful hero" that was something only the anime ever did.

MHA is frustrating to me more than anything.

The initial arcs dealing with commercialization, heroic motivations, and nature vs nurture were all interesting and engaged with the members of class 1-A in a direct way.

Then the series decided that it wanted to focus on the villains more and became about societal outcasts and generic statements of good vs evil, none of which really related to 1-A. The students got sidelined and the only thing they really contributed to the story after a point was being involved in the fights.

It's also hard to call the ending bad since these problems started to appear 150 chapters ago. I think the intent was to disrupt normal life with this dramatic event, but what it really did was abandon half the themes the series was working towards.

i'm not sure what to feel about the ending,

was pretty angry during 410-415 at what was hinted to happen, him losing his quirk is like denying his journey.. why did any of this even happen then... that's genuinely evil and betrayal of all the misery he went through

only to realise that no, he actually got rid of his own quirk, ~~and all of said misery, were well.. his own choices~~ .... the one he worked so hard on mastering.

... and we'll never see anyone on par with midoriya in the fiction world..... it was a bit understandable,

his quirk was gone by his own accord, and his own wish to save other people when most in his shoes including me will never do that, i was shocked.... he really is the most heroic person between all of the cast included,

this is our guy.
the one we've watched for a decade or so,

it's bittersweet, makes more sense with context and how things unfolded.

but, it's still... weird
why does everyone get to be happy except for midoriya? if he were i'd not mind it but more than one instance (with aizawa and i don't remember who else) it felt like he wasn't.... seeing how the question was repeated even though "8 years" have passed, why did they feel the need to reiterate the question?

he says he is ok but that sounded like either acceptance or lying to yourself.

not to mention we don't know anything about what happened during the time skip so...

i don't know, what happened to kurugiri? where is midoriya's dad?was afo's doctor being also midoriya's doctor when he was a kid a coincidence even after the million times the narrative reminded us how he plans everything in 4d chess?

there might be more questions but these are the ones i have on my mind.

i like that he's a teacher, it was either that or something in analytics i believe, he gets to be a hero in his own way, nurture new heroes, still in the hero field seeing how it's U.A and there is a bunch of quirks and labs around to use,

not to mention still having aizawa sensei and his mom around, while A1 have all nourished into prospect heroes, including shinso and aoyama with their senpais and 1B.

still in comparison to the cast, i didn't get "happy feelings" from him, so it could be me overthinking it.

and there's is this whole suit thing, yagi's one doesn't seem to have took that long to make why midoriya's one took 8 years? is it related to studying his DNA and quirks so maybe this is not just "Tech" it somehow has actual genuine multiple quirks in it?

that makes sense with why it took so long and why his whole friends needed to "fund" it, that sounds like a whole research going on into replicating quirks than just your everyday high-tech suit.

Basically it's an open-ending except the things we were left with weren't that promising so, idk feels like only midoriya got the short stick out of them.

IS NOT GARBAGE!!!!! I found the ending to be really good,but even though they didn't have Ochako and Midoriya relationship to bloom. It didn't because this series doesn't focus on romance and I can understand that
