Jellyfish Can’t Swim in the Night - Chapter 1 Discussion

First chapter and it already started well! The art is really good and the chapter was surprisingly long (it covered the whole first episode of the anime) which I didn't expect, but it was a very pleasant surprise and I honestly hope it stays this way, so the story would advance at a good pace.

Going back to the art, I quite liked the character design, it's slightly different from the anime, but it's just as cute anyway. And the same goes for the "funny faces" the characters make, they change a bit, but they are still really cute and of course funny. I think there are even more than in the anime, which is a positive thing for me.

Now, on the "negative" side, although I don't really see it as a problem, the music section is non-existent, for obvious reasons, and although this could mean the loss of the "emotion" of the moment for many, I'm happy to say the manga finds its own way to make these moments stand out and make them feel special, even surpassing the anime in some scenes and all this is thanks to the excellent art, the layout and shape of the panels and backgrounds, in other words, the good consistency of the manga's artwork gives it a lot in its favor and makes it not lag behind the anime.

Anyway, both the manga and the anime were two great surprises in the same day, now, I just wish that the story develops properly, as I feel that we are facing a wonderful work that has a lot to show.
