Despite the score on anilist (understandable tho), I watched this show with my partner from the beginning to the end and I thought it was okay. 6/10 for me personally.
I'm a big fan of Aya Shouoto's works and for one of her manga being given an anime for the first time, I think she deserved WAY BETTER. Studio Drive did Momochi House dirty. The mangaka's art style doesn't look anything like what we saw in the anime.
I would complain to my partner from time to time that if they stuck to how the characters look like in the ED then the OP's visuals would've looked just as good AND the show wouldn't be much of a flop, animation wise.
But I will say that the OP song was a banger (and one of my favorites from this season) and the ED song was just as good to me as well. I never skipped either of them.
Just super happy that Aoi finally confessed to Himari and they shared (another) kiss at the end. Riding on top of the light dragons and being in the sky like that was honestly such a good scene for the ending. My only other complaint apart from the animation is that I wish we could've seen more Kasha but it's whatever. I'll probably see more of him when I tackle the manga.
P.S: Takeo Ootsuka was perfect as the role of Aoi. He makes the character sound dreamy af.
