i agree this part of the story feel like it was rush. the animation was also horrible. it remind me of the dragon ball super ep where it was outrageously bad.
Did you notice hyakkimaru running animation, it was so shit! Anime is great though, lovin it.
yeahhh this episode had a different director that probably got the position through connections, pretty sure the director will go back to what it was before next episode

I feel like the animation for this episode is pretty rushed. Hyakkimaru's running scene was so shit LOL.
Ok so this episode was pretty interesting in how things ended here - Dororo and Hyakkimaru go separate ways - Dororo is trying her best to steer Hyakkimaru on the right path (or what she thinks to be) and he's not listening one bit. Dororo has been an important figure in his life with the little time spent together, he already he feels lost without her. The sub-plot of Dororo's father's legacy has finally emerged and kicked into gear.
And again, we get more situations where our protagonists have to make decisions where the only outcome is grief and sorrow. The quality in terms of visuals was night and day compared to the other 14 - even though 14 wasn't the best. A guest director? Although, not consistent with the other episodes, and having characters models going completely janky at times, the overall art was nice.
People are confusing narration with animation imo, this episode wasn't worse than most of the others quality-wise. A bad scene or two don't make the whole episode badly animated. I like how Hyakki is slowly being presented as morally ambiguous. I hope the show elaborates this theme further.
The content of the episode was fine. There were actually some very important story event that happened, like Hyakkimaru getting his spine back, and his Moral Ambiguity. However, it would have been nice if these events were animated at the standard that the rest of the show has set.
Indeed, the animation was shit. Thankfully it will only be this episode, directed by someone who's probably bad at their job.
The story as a whole was alright, finally something interesting happening and Hyakkimaru also got something back (I didn't expect his spine to be that something, I thought he already had that!
I can't wait for when he'll get his vision back.
The whole episode felt rushed and just stupid in general. It seems to just completely skip over things like how Dororo found the rice storage building, How he/she got out? how that building burnt down in the first place? I mean we saw him/her tip over some urns of oil which were kept under the rice storage with the moth hatchlings (maybe?) but why would they catch on fire? Also the giant moth randomly setting the tower on fire and that somehow burning the whole village. While we're on that topic I'm not sure why anyone would feel morally responsible for that for 2 reasons 1. The village were planning to feed them to moth monsters and 2. They didn't directly cause the fire it was just a consequence of fighting the moth and it was either that or letting the moth kill you so???
Other problems I have, How did Dororo know where Hyakkimaru would be after he somehow escaped under the storage building? how did the ghost children know where the Queen moth is? Why is the queen moth under the lake? Why does it just skip straight to Hyakkimaru fighting it right after we see his leg break? why is that fight over in 2 seconds? How exactly did the guy at the end know about the map on Dororo's back? (Which I assume will be explained next episode? I HOPE) and finally damn the animation was horrible.
Edit: Thought of another, How did Dororo not notice a crowd of people enter the storage building and somehow get around him/her to push him/her down the trap door and why anyone would think it was a good idea to have a demon moth nest under your whole villages food storage knowing that if you lose it you're pretty much screwed.
