Troll recommendations are an issue nobody seems to care much about in general, or at least one that's not prioritized (granted, they do get removed if you manage to point them out and have a reasonable point to back it up). For example, a recommendation for this one creepy pedo show has been under Ninja Slayer's anime adaptation for months, if not years, and nobody noticed before my report, hell, it was getting upvotes to the point it was more popular of a recommendation than anything the same studio was involved in. A dozen different recommendations for Jesus-related manga have been under a JJBA part 6 spinoff because of a Reddit moral panic about it being "too perverted" and nobody cared either.
We REALLY do need a quicker "report troll recommendation" system than "send a submission mentioning it or join the Discord and report it there maybe" (this reliance on Discord is a bit annoying to me in general, but I digress), imo.

That is true, but constantly going through the thousands of database entries to remove malicious recommendation is not viable either. If you report them to us, we Community Moderators can do something about it – you can also just shoot us a DM here on the platform, they will probably get worked faster on than submissions.
A dedicated report feature for recommendations might be a good idea, but it could get abused (or spammed with serious reports) very quickly...
