[spoiler] Discussion about difference between light novel (volumes 1-6) and anime (season 1-2)

I just finished reading LN 6th book, so at the same point as season 2 in and noticed quite a lot of difference in these two, especially in case of how much was left out in Anime. Of course some of those things might be pointed out in anime later, but still I was surprised of amount of things, and some things feels like too important to be skipped.

From this point onward this is spoiler so don't read if you care, and this is spoilers from novel what wasn't told in anime but most likely all will be later in anime. Also, this contains spoilers from novels 1-6 so if you don't have read, read those first.

• Sage (Raphael): Got personality in some point, it was not clearly pointed out in which point (s)he got it. In 4th LN it was clearly indicated that Sage by himself decided to get self upgraded to Raphael and also resurrected all without input of Rimuru.

- This was a huge change from Anime, in Anime it was indicated that Rimuru himself was the one that decided it. I don't understand how this been dropped at all because it's huge thing for Rimuru and Raphael (Sage), maybe this comes in later in Anime apparent that Sage (Raphael) has sense of self.

• Tenma war: This was also huge thing what was skipped in anime completely.

- Well in LN this wasn't happening at this point, but it was quite important to world building, especially for Dwarven kingdom, especially Dwargon, reasoning why they lived underground.

• Kingdom of Blumund: This was pretty much skipped completely.

- This was perhaps biggest change what I don't actually like, this was huge world building chapter in LN. In this there was meeting between Rimuru and Velyard, and also Rimuru and Drum Blumund (King of Blumund).
- In this point also this was also explanation how Rimuru got adventure license and acquired Summon Demon spell too what was completely skipped.
- Basically, a lot of world building (Blumund) and character (Rimuru and Kaval's Party) building was skipped on this.

• Goblins aren't just a joke as in Anime.

- For example, Rimuru send a goblin to meet with trio (Kaval's Party) in Blumund to inform about Orc Lord, and at the time this goblin also met Fuze to inform about Orc Lord. As in LN it was said even Fuze felt endangered by the presence of this Goblin.

These are the points what I noticed as huge changes, but not sure if there are some big differences what weren't that clear at this point of the story.

And by all means I don't mean Anime is bad, it's one of the best ones I have seen. But now that I have read LN to Volume 6, I see that there is a lot of stuff skipped what now that I know about should have been there.

So what is your thoughts about things that were skipped? And will you wait Anime to continue to read forward in LN or have you read already?

These were biggest pain points to me now that I have read LN and I plan to read forward, (yesterday purchased books 7–18 from Rakuten Kobo), so there is still lots of material to read, and material for Anime too.

I hope discussion is limited to Season 1 - 2 in anime and in novels Volumes 1 - 6, so we don't spoil future for viewers and readers.
