Well, as to if it's incest. I'd say it's not technically incest, but it's certainly crossing into some sort of grey area. That's why I think some people like the sort of taboo concept it and shows like it that have tackled the step sibling relationship angle. Now my opinion on the ending however, I don't know something about it felt kinda rushed. I heard manga readers saying there was a lot cut and not fleshed out to fit into 12 episodes, however I am only going on what I've heard, though I can totally see that being the case with how things wrap up so quickly.

I especially didn't like Rui's treatment by the end. I don't like her going back after him after everything that happened. She always ended getting the short end of the stick sometimes and I felt it wasn't like her just to jump all over him, even if he was starting to get better as a person and chasing his dream of being a author. I don't know a lot of it felt really hollow as far as an ending that gave that much closure. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it for what it was. I kinda think of Domestic Girlfriend, as least when I watched episode week by week, as my weekly soap opera. It's cheesy and not gonna be that much in terms of story, but so much happens and it filled that role until the ending, and I think that is where the anime kind of fails. I'm glad you enjoyed it more than me man though.

Personally , I found this anime really bad but I watched it because it was entertaining, I guess
This anime had no sense, in every episode the show was like "I'm gonna put some more drama" and it ended up being annoying

The characters decision/actions are beyond reality
I found that the first episode was promising but I ended up being bored by the lack of logic of what I was watching
At the end of the show I was like..Wtf is Rui doing?and who would even do that?

This anime is confusing.

However, one of the best Op so far

Re: lack of logic.

In my life, I found myself in some situations which were really close to what happens to heroes(without the sibling nor teacher/student part though, but with various other outside factors). I also would call myself more or less rational and logical person, probably too logical sometimes. Still, I made choices similar to the ones heroes made, or was keeping them in mind as viable options. I also seen other people making similar choices, both towards me and in general. This doesn't prove everything is logical, of course, but trust me, it's well within reality boundaries.

The only thing I find weird is Hina's choice to leave in the end(as opposed to handling the problems but keeping the relationship intact), but that could probably be attributed to the fact I generally don't really care about society opinion, so the whole "double suicide" problem doesn't exist for me. Also, it isn't shown in the anime, but I could imagine her being really confused by the whole situation and just escaping the problem this way.

As of the Rui actions in the end, doesn't really feel that strange to me, plus as someone explains below some part of stuff in between was cut off.

I am a manga reader.Domestic na Kanojo is not incestuous, the controversial topic is more the relationship between the teacher and the student.

I watched it till the end but it was bad in a lot of ways, not because it was incest, I think it wasn't.
So in my opinion, yeah it was fun and maybe interesting sometimes but it shows emotions as weak and silly (I think maybe because the anime is short it couldn't be deep enough), also there was a lot of irrational coincidences and forced drama, in addition to many boring and weak characters which weren't needed in the story.
The end (puting the last 5 minutes aside) was pale but at least it was the only realistic thing lol
annd back to the last 5 minutes
it was bad and silly again
what rui did was stubid and didn't match her personalt, likr it was put there just to cover the boring in the end meeh

Rui's actions make a lot more sense in the manga...there is a lot that happens between Hina transferring and Rui saying she won't hold back anymore in the manga. The anime is a pretty bad adaptation that cuts out entire arcs and characters that really build on their motivations and progression...

It's not incest, they are not blood related. Moreover, He had sex with Rui and fell in love with Hina BEFORE their parents were married

According to Merriam-webster incest is:

sexual intercourse between persons so closely related that they are forbidden by law to marry

If it is forbidden by the law to marry step-sibling then yes it is otherwise no.

Personally, I don't think it is incest since there would be no problem of inbreeding.

Simple if Hina and Natsou both waited till he left school and not act horny. They won't had this ending plus why leave your family.

En tant que fan "hardcore" de Domestic na Kanojo je me dois de défendre mon point de vue.

Je dois avouer que j'ai une passion quelque peu irrationnelle pour cet anime, je traverse une période où sentimentalement c'est compliqué et on peut dire qu'en quelque sorte cet anime m'a transcendé. J'aime beaucoup le personnage de Natsuo, je l'ai trouvé très humain dans ses choix et a toujours essayé de satisfaire les deux "camps" (Rui/Hina) dans la mesure du possible. J'ai également beaucoup aimé le personnage de Rui qui m'a beaucoup plu de part sa franchise surtout au premier épisode (tmtc).

Cependant, je dois avouer que certaines scènes étaient pas du tout nécessaire, je pense notamment à la scène du supo qui me fait encore cauchemarder aujourd'hui, mais après elle est présente dans le manga donc je comprends la volonté de vouloir respecter l'ouvrage initial. Pour ce qui est du soi-disant "inceste", je suis d'avis qu'il n'existe pas. Ils n'ont absolument aucun liens de parenté et comme je l'ai déjà dis, Hina et Natsuo sont tombés amoureux l'un de l'autre avant le mariage, et il a couché avec Rui sans savoir ses liens de parenté avec Hina.

Je parlais de mon amour inconditionnel pour LovexDilemma car je n'avais jamais été autant impliqué dans un anime. J'attendais avec impatience chaque épisode et une fois dedans, je vivais chaque instant comme si j'étais dedans. ça va sonner gros puceau mais à chaque baiser, chaque scène de tendresse j'étais juste de tout coeur avec notre cher Natsuo

Pour ce qui est de la fin, j'ai mis 5 minutes à réaliser ce qui c'était passé, il me faut absoluement la suite sinon je vais faire un nervous breakdown mdr. Je pense que je vais aller lire les mangas car je ne peux pas attendre la saison 2 et elle n'a pas encore été annoncée, ce qui implique qu'il y'a une chance qu'elle ne sorte jamais.

Read the Manga you wont regret it! Also they skipped a ton of cool parts that gave all the characters way more depth then you can see in the adaptation.

Definitely read the manga, from chapter 1, you missed a lot of character progression in the anime, as well as entire characters.

Nonononono! HUGE mistake.
The anime was alright, honestly, but the manga... don't go there. You'll be disappointed if you enjoyed the show.

  Same here - already on Chapter 110. IMHO, there could have been so many more (non-filler) episodes made from all of the additional material in the manga.

I really liked the manga, honestly I liked the anime which is why I read the manga but I liked the manga way more. A lot of people dislike the ending of the manga but, idk I really liked it. Easily my favorite manga.
