I was glad Sukuna finally got screentime...
Then I got reminded he is actually a bad guy.

I don't know anymore.
It's just bad guys vs bad guys at this point.
If anime can be this good, ethical consumerism doesn't exist

cant wait to see all the horny edits with toji having that fish in his mouth
Ok, so I may have smirked to myself during that scene, but you didn't have to call me out like that.
its inevitable
this's literally my first thought when i saw that lol
is it just me or does sukuna look a bit off
Off-fingers...
he's usually topless
Wasn't expecting this episode to be this good. The Toji vs Dagon fight was great and K1RO's cuts were insane. Next episode will most likely have the best animation of the season with presumably the Hakuyu Go team and many others.
They were def saving budget for next ep
Budget isn't really a contributing factor, since Jujutsu Kaisen is a huge show they have no shortage of money. The next episode has an incredible staff list which is why it'll look good.
if god is real then he was the guy animating the toji scenes
My guy Sukuna really said “move or be moved” to Jogo lol
Great episode ngl , enjoyed every second of it. Also, that K1RO sequence, sheesh, my guy doesn't sleep at all.
PS: Now I know why people say Nanami is so hot

Great visuals as always! I can't wait for more episodes man, this is too good!!

Finally Sukuna is out and the story has some more spice. Toji’s rampage wasn’t that exciting anymore when it turned out he kind of lost his consciousness - Part of why I found his revival interesting is because I wanted to see how he would interact with Fushiguro and the old man, but at least we have a Fushiguro/Toji matchup. So we'll see how that goes. In terms of continuity this episode was much better than the previous, although still rough. But, K1RO absolutely delivered as the main animator, his sequence definitely stands out and is really good.
It's crazy that you think Toji would give a fuck about his son or anyone else if he were conscious
I still would've liked to see it.
I have nothing descriptive and worthwhile to say because I'm not good with words, but this episode was THE BALLS. It wasn't as cool as Choso v. Itadori for me, but it still was awesome. Toji just showing up chaotically and destroying Cthulhu curse dude. Not ok about Nanami though. I'm not looking forward to what I assume will be the next or next next episode. ;_;
toji vs dagon was soooo good
and the ost?? chefs kiss
just wondering if miminana couldve been spared if they hadnt mentioned the finger ie they wanted a "deal" to The sukuna
Personally i don't think so. Cause them telling sukuna to go kill geto is still them ordering him around.
Should have just been like "ey yo, we're your worshipers and there's a monk down there who was talking shit about you."
that couldve worked tbh
its amazing how the staff are maintaining acceptable level of animation among fans even with the schedule. Honestly the part inside Dagon's domain wasn't impressive to me in general (there were amazing cuts) but nothing i found better than the manga. The 2nd part was just too good, the shading, layouts and the soundtrack carried it
looovee itttttt, daddy Toji looked better than I imagined UwU Sukuna looks so different with this style, but like it ^_^ waiting for next episode :3
Good to see Sukuna show off his chef skills this episode. Minced his dish perfectly 10/10!
SUKUNA IS BACK and he show's no mercy! So hyped rn

bro just wakes up decides to dice up people like onions
Toji vs Dagon fight was awesome. I think this is the first fight of this arc which had fast paced action, minimum slow motions cuts, no talking and narration and where you could actually see whats happening as it avoided that zoomed in crap they pulled in earlier episodes. This is what I want to see more of in this show. The only problem I noticed was the dimming but nothing can be done about that I guess. Have to wait for BDs to see it in full glory.
Another very cool episode, Toji is badass and Sukuna while evil just has this super cool atmosphere to him.
The girls were kinda pointless beyond moving the plot on a bit, could have done a bit more with them - but at least we got some cool deaths out of them lol
Fuck the fight, did y'all hear that OST????
No... Sorry, I did not.
i subconsciously thought of jougo as a weakling because all his big fights were with gojo, so i was taken aback by how quickly he beat up the sorcerers :p
also, i'm surprised itadori doesn't gag when he gulps these fat fingers; i would have thrown up long ago
Jogo went from a Ranked match to a Casual match, was surprised to see how strong he had been all this time. Gojo ruined his rep
For real! I thought the same : I was like...
Ayo man, I though you were weak... OH YES! Compared to Gojo himself, you are indeed weak. So I need to lower my standards.
My mouth literally just hang open over THOSE scenes where the sorceres are lit on fire and the girls are just slayed :( a great episode yet toji still doesn't appeal very much to me BUT SUKUNA now I'm seeing why people simp over him that much
Toji just showed them who's the boss there. He totally smashed that guy all alone while three of them were struggling for almost entire episode. Sukuna was absolutely incredible. Only his aura made everyone to kneel. And it was really funny when that Volcano guy sensed Sukuna and rushed like crazy to where he was. Next time its Toji and Fushiguro's fight.
the way that was my first thought.
They're competing with a fan animation that's pretty amazing so we'll see loool
well we don't know yet if next week really is "that" episode, but there is an Itsuki Tsuchigami ep coming up, yes (Hakuyu Go will only do key animation). While that's a good reason to be excited I would keep the expectations at a healthy level still because Tsuchigami is tweeting daily on his twitter about how much he struggles on his episode and that there is still a lot unfinished animation (and he doesn't know how to complete it). It will be very well directed but execution will most likely be not as good as we are used to by the Hakuyu Go team, at least polish-wise. JJK's production is at a level where the staff list doesn't determine the quality at all, because even when you have the talent they dont have the time to do their best.
Even considering that I still am excited for the ep, but I'm trying to keep expectations in check.
I agree that our expectations shouldn't be too high but from what we've seen in the trailer for the shibuya incident, next epsiode looks like it'll be the miso episode. Some of the Jogo vs Sukuna and Megumi cuts shown in the trailer looked like they were animated by Hakuyu Go and Nakaya Onsen. The cuts shown in the trailer were mostly from episodes 7, 9, 13 and 16 so the fact that scenes from episode 16 were even shown in the trailer is a sign that the production will be as good or close to those episodes.
So yeah, even though it most likely won't be as good as other Hakuyu Go episodes, I believe it'll still be great
The thing that's scaring me is that all the remaining episodes are very important action episodes so i have no idea how they'll do that
Well 13 was veryyy rough and yes the cuts which were pre-animated for the teaser in there were polished but that only means that certain cuts were done beforehand for the trailer and the episode itself is in a precarious spot still, evidenced by the episode director himself.
13 was still one of the better-looking episodes, including season 1. Plus, the Hakuyu Go squad will deliver regardless so I'm not really worried.
Legends have it that the scheduling is more concerning than the budget.
Toji stopped his assassin arc when he got married, once she died and had her son he went back to slaying but ended up selling Megumi to the Zenins for a better future since Toji had no CE but his son did. Bro was honestly a good dad just ended up yk.... doing some bad stuff.
To the dude who yet again gave a 6/10 to this episode, "Never rate anything ever again and please delete your account so nobody can bear witness to this"
@kc7000
Its just a episode my guy... chill... some people may or may not enjoy it...
Idk if someone is watching over 30+ episodes of a show and constantly rating it 5-6.5 i don't think you should be watching it, plus I haven't seen a single person agree with him so
@kc7000
I have no idea what you are projecting onto me but if you would even take one look at my profile you'd know that 6 is not a bad rating in my books, neither is 5. And you really seem to have observed me very closely given you lack to account that there were previous stretches like Hidden Inventory I enjoyed much much more. I don't know if you think the only way you are allowed to watch a show is when you love every single episode but if so, that's a very weird way to approach media my guy. Yes, Shibuya right now is not my favorite stretch of JJK but I still have reasons to keep watching this show.
I also love how you mention that no one agrees with me, as if opinions are only valid if other people share them. You guys really want nothing but an echo chamber.
But most importantly: it's not your fuckin business. Get a grip on reality man, if the only way you can respond to someone not loving something to a degree you do that they should delete their account, then you need to touch some grass. Stop projecting on me and if you are uncomfortable interacting with me then just leave me alone lol. And yes I am rude here but this is just ridiculous. I am open to other opinions and I love talking about anime, hence I write these episode impressions, but this kind of interaction is not fun at all.
I ignored you the first time but since you again bring it up, here you go. I won't reply if you continue to show no interest in actually engaging with me. And I know it's not appropriate to be rude like this, but maybe think about how it feels when you post your opinion on the internet and the response you get is "delete your account" or "ain't reading allat".
"aint reading allat"
Damn I don't think you've ever experienced a joke in your life, you gave a bad take and everyone clowned on you for obvious reasons grow up lol. Aint nobody gonna observe your profile or reviews until your whole paragraph essay is about "this part of the show bla bal not my favorite rn 5.5/10". As for your opinion, its yours.... we don't care, majority think this is a extremally good written shonen with beautiful animation, if you get butthurt about others comments or opinions then don't be on the internet.
I'm several years late, but having checked their ratings for this season (up to now), I 100% agree with them, actually
@llGH0STll
Actually he did care about Megumi... and his family. He wasnt exactly "pure evil". If he didnt, he probably wouldnt have gave Megumi to the Zenin clan...
That's why I want to see both of them interacting lol, Toji is a bit of a complicated scumbag and I would like to see more of his more human side regarding his wife/Megumi
Yeah, obviously, he's not pure evil, but at the same time, the way Gege made this character, who doesn't give a damn, forgets his son's name, and has no curse energy but still manages to kill Gojo, he made him the ultimate sigma who's able to make you lose ur NNN. I feel like there will be subtle incidents, pointed out by his actions, that show he cares about his son, instead of a one-on-one conversation where he says something like, 'I regret this and that, son, forgive me, I should have been there for u,' etc etc. But it's just speculation, so we will have to see
Gege made Toji primarily for Megumi's growth as a whole and obviously a counter to Gojo so he became the "honored one" once he mastered his technique / rct. There's a big reason stated why he gave his son up and abandoned his name once he met his wife
Why did they make those frames dark? It detracts from the action i dont understand
Japan laws my guy it will be removed in Blue ray version tho
epilepsy laws ever since that one pokemon episode which hospitalized children iirc. For broadcast flashy cuts will be dimmed and/or ghosted. As ghost says it will be removed in the bluray though
Its to stop a bunch of people from getting epileptic shock/seizures due to the flashing, from an old incident where a bunch of kids around japan got hospitalized.
I was thinking, if you actually gonna write some comment today about episode. I was worrrried Kaito-san :(
Prob won't be able to post it on the same day with every ep cuz I'm busy but I still intend to finish it
damm :( I can't bring my thoughts without your opinion ^^
i thought of it more of a request? like they didnt have anything for sukuna all they could do was plead him for it and it wouldve been upto him to decide yk
isnt the ost the same as like so many prev eps.. why are ppl suddenly talking bout it
