I agree, I expected better, but I don't think there will be a second season, although I hope so
seeing as no one been updating episode discussion.. as it comes to an end, the last episode is kinda... meh?

yeah it was pretty mediocre, the opening was banger but a lot of stuff was just plain out dumb
Horrible adaptation, the manga was 10 times better. In this anime everything is so damn drawn out it feels like one piece but doesn't have the excuse one piece has, being that of not overtaking the manga.
I'm a fan of this genre of "Villainess tries to do good" but overall this show lost its pace somewhere through the middle half of the season. Other shows or manga of this type have the main character be hit multitudes of crises that keep them on the off beat/on their toes. This show seemed much more tame. Could someone follow up if the LN has more depth going for it? I kept expecting some strong-arm of fate to come in and have Pride get her path firmly altered or some such. Very much a lack of internal conflict going on here, which is what I would expect/want.
For the LN: Short answer - not really more depth
Pride will always complain that she is destined to be the villain and that Tiara will be the queen but never realize that she already changed the entire history. Very annoying story to keep up for 8 volumes until the 9th volumes just gives Pride amnesia and replaces her with the OG villain-Pride. Volume 10 releases next week and may resolve this
Uhm, quick question..
Will Volume 10 to 12 be published out soon in English? I only fetch the JP LNs but the English ones are still on Vol. 9
For me, it was a decent show. The last episode was fine and it looks like a opportunity to a season 2.
And it shows they do get a season 2, yippee!
For real!!!
Season 2 for the win :3
yes, it's coming out starting this april 7 (every tuesdays)

I honestly don’t get why The Most Heretical gets so much mixed reception.
As someone deep into isekai (yeah, full NEET otaku energy), this one hit differently for me. It wasn’t trying to be another power-fantasy steamroll or edgy revenge story. Instead, it focused on something way more human... changing your fate by changing yourself. And that landed.
What really stood out was the emotional core. Pride isn’t just avoiding becoming a villain, she’s actively trying to be better in a world that already expects the worst from her. That tension made a lot of moments surprisingly heavy. I’m not even gonna lie I teared up multiple times :'=) Both the sad scenes and the wholesome ones just hit in a way I didn’t expect.
Yeah, the pacing is slower and more character driven, which might be why some people didn’t vibe with it. But for me, that was the whole point. It gave space for relationships to feel real, and for the growth to actually matter.
It’s not perfect, but it’s sincere, and that counts for a lot. If you’re tired of the same recycled isekai formulas and want something with a bit more heart, this one deserves more credit than it gets.
Volume 10 just released in English last week and 11 & 12 will probably release this year or early next year, but there is no date yet
