I agree almost completely, I don't care that they stay together in the end since, Aika is these last 2 episodes regret and begging his forgiveness in the most sincere way. If possible even humiliating, given everything they have done with Wataru so far, as he calls him coward because he doesn't want to disturb the girl's life anymore.
By the way, if Wataru ends with Rin or Sasaki, im not finding it bad at all, may be slightly sad for Aika who finally realized where she made a mistake, but I also understand that life is like that, and it only remains to follow in front.

Now that I know their backstory it makes me dislike Aika even more.

Was Wataru way too pushy and annoying? Yes.
Should he have stopped trying after the first time? Yes.

But from what I understood it was his actions that brought people to converse more with Aika, something she wanted more of since she couldn't do things after school. So this entire time she's been treating the guy that ended up fixing (though inadvertently) the thing that was bothering her like complete garbage even after he stopped being pushy and annoying.
It makes me feel bad for an MC who was partially at fault.

well it's not like she realized it right away tell now, which is how things go, to her he was an annoyance, only after that did she realize he was the reason she didn't feel lonely and now she's dealing with the fact that he's not there

  The fact that she couldn't introspect nor retrospect for this long is insane. Maybe I'm just being closed minded but I want to refuse to believe that someone can go that long with 0 intro/retro-spection. The lack thereof caused Wataru's confidence to plummet and a complete attitude readjustment, though probably benefit in the long run, is just sad to see. After what she's done NOW she wants to have him (either as a friend or more) it's incredibly selfish and one-sided. Even if she apologizes for the things she's said, I don't think it absolves what was done. I hope he doesn't just forgive or for no reason other than the fact of 'because shes aika my idol'.
  I know there's a lot of cut content showcasing them being closer but I'm forming these opinions only based on what the anime has shown us.

correct me if i'm wrong LN Readers but... this is Volume 5 right? this is supposed to be a Culture Festival, not Middle School Orientation, unless i'm forgetting this happened but Aika was supposed to question her feelings while they prep for the School Culture Festival, they aren't... replacing it right? like how they skipped over him going to her house alone TWICE already? Man this shit got me depressed... ruining something from pretty decent source material...

I don't know about LN but on the manga, theres no sign of a Culture Fesival, just the Middle School Orientation... until now at least (capt 28)

nah we're at vol 3 or 4, there is still some content left in vol 4 and we'll see if they adapt it it the next ep or if they directly skip to vol 5 with culture festival

  i don't think so, Volume 5 is the start of the new school year, unless we're at the very end of Volume 4 and i'm forgetting what happened at the end of it, which i probably am lol

Yes, Sajou grew a lot emotionaly, but so did Aika with and without him, so i think they´d just deserve each other in a way. Also, they´re both supposed to be teenagers and thats when you´re supposed to learn from your mistakes. And i think Aika is learning now aswell. Also, i just enjoy a simple happy ending, it´s a nice change for all the emotionally gut-punching animes out there, lol.

Now he's not there she misses him and there are a line of potential partners who see his appeal, she needs him more than he needs her and that's something she clearly knew but was in denial over, quite honestly her behaviour is akin to a petulant child and highly risible. She's not malicious, she's just feckless.

Rin is far better, the end.

well the thing is again, she did nothing wrong, she only rejected him, in fact this is kind of on Wataru a little bit, sure he's trying to move on and that's great but he's actively avoiding her, he was her only friend for a long time and now he's activley avoiding her which has got to HURT, she wouldn't be acting like she is now if he had just tried to stay friends instead of keeping his distance because he thinks it's for the best, of course we have his reasoning and i'm not saying it's his fault or anything but what did she REALLY do? nothing, she only rejected him and acted like a normal person does when somebody's that clingy, there's nothing she did wrong here

Lets look at what she did.
Constantly put him down (creeper, stalker, etc) even AFTER he stopped his actions.
She grabbed him and threw him against a wall for TALKING to someone of the opposite gender?
She inserted herself into his family drama when she herself doesn't allow anyone into her own family issues?
Wouldn't you give someone space if they treated you like that? I know I would, I probably wouldn't talk to them anymore lmfao
If anything post-realization for Wataru, she has become the clingy one (She even stalked him to the roof lol). Her actions are abusive and toxic so I'm not sure how you can say she didn't do ANYTHING wrong.
As I said in my first comment he was way too pushy and should've stopped after the first attempt. That's completely on him. While he was creepy and stalkerish, she's just straight abusive to him.

  1) Yeah for a very small amount of time before she stopped, she doesn't understand what's going on with him but she HAS stopped, has for awhile now and she was within her right to call him that lol
  2) It wasn't so much that it was a person of the opposite gender but because they were a Gyaru (this is an anime issue, in the source she's played off MUCH heavier in Gyaru culture, she wasn't mad at him for talking to a girl but was mad at him talking to a girl who is known to sleep around which frustrated her because of her feelings that were surfacing, which i guess you could call selfish if you want but the anime kind of doesn't do the scene justice)
  3) it's not like she's like that now, she USED to not let anybody into her family issues, she talks about Airi and all of that now, also this didn't come across in the anime AGAIN but they weren't stalking him, they were looking for him to talk and ended up overhearing the conversation, that scene leads immediately into him and the two girls at a cafe where Natsukawa straight up asks him to come to his house to meet her little sister (which the anime FCKN SKIPPED FOR SOME REASON)
  The anime cuts so damn much out it's not even funny, there's a lot of context to her actions that are missing so i can kind of see where your coming from but in reality she's just easily flustered by him, she's never abusive but that just doesn't seem to come across right in the anime

The consistent verbal/emotional abuse she's done since they met.
The controlling behavior when he starts talking to Rena, this is also shown during the Koga scene where she drags him away and throws him against the wall.
The blaming before even knowing the situation, He was blamed in the rooftop scene for treating his big sister bad, when the sister (though arguably typical for siblings) have said the same shit Aika has said to him, eroding his confidence. She only heard part of the conversation yet had the gall to run up to him and blame him forcing an apology, even though the sister should really be the one apologizing.
I'm sure there's more if I comb the episodes. She didn't start treating him normally (like a human) until the whole work thing, and that was more of just giving advice which could be done with an acquaintance. If we go only by what the anime showed us (without all the cut content) there has been 0 redeeming acts for Aika and it's only showcased how badly Wataru has been treated, if we assume what we are shown is how he's been treated since he met (after the confession) then it's been quite a long time of her being rude to him, treating him as less-human (aka garbage).

  Guys, I don't read ln, so I talk about the anime and manga ... * When I start watching the anime, I start to feel bad about how Wataru is treated, and I can't believe anyone can not just think for 1 According to Wataru's feeling, so I decided to read the manga, and it's even worse ...
  Everyone who knows Wataru really doesn't care about him.
  Just to exemplify, in the first episode, when Kaede arrives from school and realizes that Wataru is talking to Aika, she expects them to finish the conversation to start bulling with him.
  In the manga, the mother and Kaede enter the room, interact with both, and are saying things like:
  Mother: "Wataru you shouldn't even try, she's too good for you, you'll never have a chance!"
  Kaede: "right? She is a 10/10 and he is in exaggerating a lot 4/10."
  Both laugh at the situation ...
  While Wataru declares himself again to Aika in order to be rejected this time.
  Kaede only begins to regret, when he sees that her brother is broken and that it could have been her fault (and in large part was), but she is not sad for him, she is sad that herself did badly to someone.
  In the anime, when Aika asks if he goes to her house, she is thick in the answer, but in the manga she is unnecessaryly stupid, claiming that he would never come close to her sister, otherwise he was going to pass his stupidity to Airi.
  Later in the manga she invites him only to go to her house and play with Airi who loves him, but prefers Sasaki because he is more beautiful ... ¬¬ "
  Both in the anime and in the manga, it seems that Aika is realizing how she needs Wataru, now is waiting to see how she will close the anime, because there are only 2 more episodes and dispersed a material with a lot of potential ...
  I doubt I have a second season ...

    As far as I read at the moment, Aika has not realized that it made bullshit, but is missing Wataru.
    They are hard to stick together on the street (sorry I don't remember the context of why), when they find an old friend of Wataru who is super happy and happy to see them together and the feelings of Wataru and all the effort he made for Aika was not dispersed.
    In this he tells her that this was a mistake and that they could not be together.
    And the manga ends with Aika without saying anything, as if wanting to run and hold the tears ...

    Kaede IS sad for him, that was the point of the rooftop scene, she was sad that he seemed so down in the dumps and was giving up on Natsukawa and thought she had some part in it which isn't exactly true though maybe a tiny bit

  i mean... that's not true... she acted normal around him at first, she treated him normally but he started being freaky and borderline stalking her and clinging to her, that's when she started acting annoyed at him which is completely fair, she never treated him like shit she was reacting like a normal person would, well actually a normal person would call the cops but you get what i mean, this JUST from the anime, not from the cut content

    I mean we don't really know the extent to what he did other than talking to her on the way to school and constantly being around her at school.
    It didn't seem like he was stalking her, I don't think they ever mentioned him following her home or him waiting for her at certain intersections, if I'm wrong let me know the episode so I can skim through it cause I have no recollection lol
    I understand being annoyed at him cause I would be too and would've probably told someone to keep him away from me lmfao but she's treated him way differently than a friend or acquaintance as we've seen the difference of how Kei treats Wataru vs how Aika treats Wataru.
    Aika rejects Wataru saying she doesn't have time, then when he goes to walk to school with her she gets mad as if he shouldn't even talk to her after getting rejected.
    The next scene after that is him asking a question on a problem and her getting mad (again) because how dare he talk to her. He basically did the same shit Takaaki (The guy who wants to get with her now) does currently.
    Then he stopped seeing her during entrance exams to get into the same school she was going to. She see's him in the halls and he wave's and she tsun pouts at him.
    Wataru tried building a connection with her and she rejected him every step of the way.
    Now at this point in time I don't see Wataru doing anything wrong and her being extremely rude to him for just trying to be friendly. You could say she has no experience in friendships and that's why she acted that way but that's obviously not the case as she makes friends with other people without being rude to them.
    I would say it's when he proclaims he went to that school for her is when he starts getting creepy and overly attached, but all the times before then she's treated him harshly.
    So to say that she treated him normally when she never treated literally anyone else the same way she treated him is kind of backwards. She's only been a tsun personality to him.
