I liked how they've extended the source material and the overall quality of this ep was top tier.

I have no idea how to feel about this glow up though. I love the character designs in this season but I don't think it was necessary to make him such a bishounen in this scene in particular. Great ep though.

Yes, the post credits were great. I loved the duality between Gojo and Geto with the red and blue. Ugh, I love Geto so much, and it makes me so sad what becomes of him later with his outlook and morality, amongst other things...

I don't read the manga,but I just wish the fight b/w gojo and the other guy was a bit longer. Great episode none the less.

Composition was stellar tho and most of the episode was absolute peak!! I just expected more from the Gojo scenes.

This episode was directed by Arifumi Imai, who most people probably know for his work on AOT. As expected, it had some interesting storyboards and nice use of perspective and camera, although especially in its action the episode kinda feels a bit flat and limited.

Imai’s work in AOT is very fast paced and fluid (despite detailed drawings) so I thought this would be reflected in his direction as well but it might be that the schedule just caught up and the animators weren’t fully able to realize his ambition. Don’t get me wrong here however, I think this episode looks good. Especially the drawings this time are quite detailed. Nonetheless this episode felt overall the most limited overall in its flow. It doesn’t beat the action bits of the previous episode like Kosuke Kato’s sequence, despite the staff list being absolutely nuts.

Story-wise, this episode had some interesting chunks. Gojo and Geto start becoming more distant to one another. Gojo at this point is kinda a god, and lost a lot of care towards human beings and their lives. Geto is still grounded and tries to find meaning in his actions, so the difference in morality becomes even stronger now and might drive them apart. Thing is though, we already know that Geto became “evil” and Gojo retained the kindness in his heart, so it’s still unclear what is yet to happen. Only one episode left for this arc, curious how it will finish. I also liked the last bit with Toji and him reminiscing about his pride, his past, and his family. I feel bad for his wife and Megumi. With its heavier non-action beats this episode was as strong as ever.

Gojo getting drunk on his new power was pretty cool as well, although not my favorite part of the episode surprisingly.

that was a good episode. the "i alone am the honored one" scene didn't deliver that well like the manga imo but honestly i'm just happy to finally see this animated. so far the animation this arc has really surpassed my expectations.

Didn’t like the way they executed gojos pose, but still pretty good. Wasn’t expecting them to drag out the fight either since the fight is like only 1 chapter in the manga.

i hoped the fight would be extended but overall it was amazing. Looking forward to next episode.
Geto's downfall is one of my favorite moments in the manga and i hope it will be even better in the anime

Theres no need for the person to be screaming or more powerful, in the official translation theres no exclamation marks. I feel like the ANGLE and stuff could have been better but the voice acting was good if thats what your referring to.

nah Gojo's cursed technique is simple compared to what comes later. Gege fucked my brain up when explaining the cursed techniques in the manga
first there's naobito's ct where he cuts up a second into 24 frames and then freezes people and objects in those frames.
Even worse is that girl who's with hakari (forgot her name) that places constellations on people and you need to move towards other constellations in a certain order
And then there's stuff like hakari's domain where the explanation was too long and gege wrote a whole ass two page manual on how it works

  fr on my first read i knew it was crazy. It wasn't until i reread the entire fight that i saw just how good that fight was. imo one of the best fights in the series. I still believe Hakari was manipulating his luck when using his domain against Kashimo because we don't know what exactly his cursed technique is. As much hate as the culling games get, that arc is one of my favorites of all shonen just because of how crazy all the fights are and most importantly what sukuna does at the end. Gege really never misses when it comes to fights

I heard that entire scene was more or less of a moral compass for Gojo, and that if geto had said the complete opposite, (Yes lets kill them). Gojo would have been entirely different from what he is in the present day.

i watched it twice, I like fights today, but they looked kinda short, especially Gojos. but overall like it very much ^_^ i understand, it's hard to animate 3 chapters full of fights in one episode :<

I think my expectations were just a tad bit too high with Imai as episode director lol, in the end he isn't a Hakuyu Go. Overall still a very good episode, of course.

Mild spoilers about what you saw
Toji comes in the Shibuya arc, not because he's alive (he's definitely dead) but because of a cursed user who can impersonate people. There, he clashes with Megumi. I don't wanna spoil you anymore lol, it would be animated this season so I hope you enjoy it upto the fullest

That was Toji himself though. He was so strong he could break free from that cursed user, so it was like as if he were alive. That until he offed himself to save Megumi.

  Yeah you're right. But the reason he came up there in the first place was thanks to the cursed user. He broke free because he's HIM lol, that was some next level fan service
