There's something uniquely painful about watching a parody desperately try to be funny and failing at it most of the time. I didn't exactly have high expectations for this, but considering I'd seen mostly positive opinions on the manga, I figured this would be decent. ...It wasn't.

It was kind of a generic power fantasy, but it was way funnier than i gave it credit for. Also, some of the fights were legit cool as fuck.
Unfortunately, it falls on that shounen category that no villain is a true villain. After being beaten, they redeem themselves and become friends with MC. The "final" villain in this season was literally a Nazi. He was talking about exterminating those with "weak" genes, in favor of those with "stronger" ones. It is outrageous how they make him a "good guy" an episode later.
But okay, let's not think too much about how the japanese view Nazi stuff. Outside of that, and some annoying secondary characters, and some lazy characterization of the main character, the show was fun. Looking foward for season 2.

Dude literally wanted to exterminate people who weren't born with magic because "their genes were weak", so only the "strong genes" race would prevail. He specifically said that the "weak genes" people were the source of all of the problems in the world. I don't think you can get more Nazi than that...

To rush, too little of even explanation of the world. little use of spells. zero logic in how MC survives so many cuts and a sword into his stomach and walks like nothing happen. Even when they can kill him easily, they lose.
The world is a joke.
4/10 - it was funny sometimes.

Bro what? What is there that needs to be explained, also most of that stuff is explained later on and you should at least be able to comprehend it's because hes literally one punch man in this universe??
What do you mean "Little use of spells" they are used in every fight and when needed like what?? Almost every episode had multiple spells being used.
You're just nitpicking to be unique while I'd respect your opinion theres literally 0 things wrong for it to be a 4/10 except maybe the niche storyline and "Annoying" side character.

I was super hyped for this anime to come out since I'm both a giant Harry Potter nerd and a gym rat, I was somewhat disappointed tho, the greatest weaknesses are the characters in my opinion, I only liked Rayne, and that's about it, maybe Mash in the first few episodes but it got boring very fast.
I'm overall happy this got animated, but I doubt I'll read the manga.
It's a 7/10 for me, gonna watch the second season for sure.

I generally enjoyed this but it was hardly outstanding - none of the characters were exactly memorable and it couldn't really decide if it was a comedy or serious fantasy so kept flip-flopping between the two.

I felt at the end that the secondary characters were in a way “useless” because I didn't get attached to any of them and some were really boring and I confirmed this in these comments, I laughed a lot at the beginning and at the end I lost some of the fun, it's not something spectacular, but it's fun.

I did enjoy this anime and it is what I expected. Maybe adjust your expectations a little? For me it's 8/10
