I don't understand why they didn't use the faith country arc problem to finish the season, it would've been a nice action packed for the last episode with a bit of buildup.

I actually really liked this whole season. It was so much better than the first season without breaking any of the continuity, and personally I liked the ending.
It's obvious that there are more stories to tell, but if this is the last anime adaptation we get, then that was a really good ending - especially for people who are tired of anime couples who never actually date or kiss!
