Such a heartbreaking episode! The hallucination scenes were especially disturbing. I was most creeped out when that painting morphed into Satun's face... Fantastic animation!

This was good. Ouken generally is pretty intriguing and I quite like that we got to delve into his past and how exactly he descended into insanity. Strong direction and creative artstyle choices too, depicting the horror of his father and how he is haunted by him well.

I wish more of this series would be like this, exploring some interesting backstories we didn’t have the time for in the main show. Before we had a few nice things with Daida healing Bocchi, but a lot of it feels kinda like a filler to be honest.
