There don't seem to be any specific staff members that have worked on both. Only this studio MAPPA, but they also worked on things like Jujutsu Kaisen and AOT, which certainly don't feel like Dorohedoro :D
For me it's something about the grit, the violence, and the tasteful gore. And the body proportions maybe? Like the women have fairly small heads compared to other anime, I think.

Yeah it feels like a combination of Jujutsu Kaisen and Dorohedoro. It could be the weirdness and the gore that makes it so similar.
Could also be the author is a fan of Dorohedoro and was inspired by it

as the comment above said. fujimoto said it was inspired by them. plus you can tell the resemblance between power and ebisu
yeah they have some similarities also both in my favorites of all time the dark humor is so unique and funny in both

Well, in comparison to Doro, it has all the production value, but the characters feel flat, the story is shit, world building is missing at all. It kind of feels like an insult to compare these two.
I think both series are great. I don't think your criticism are valid :) (then again, we haven't seen everything)

I actually agree with you! No(t much) offense to Chainsaw, but I indeed enjoyed Doro waaay more.
But, I was comparing the feel, the visuals etc., and I don't think that's an insult at all, Chainsaw is pretty gorgeous.
Not many animes stroked my soul as nicely as Doro did though uwu
